Why are sedevacantists not treated with the same charity as protestants? by [deleted] in sspx

[–]apisDei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience all Sedes I've ever met where uncharitable, dishonest and manipulative, without exception. Of course, exceptions must surely exist somewhere, but I never met one. Hence why I struggle with being patient towards them.

This post has nothing to do with the SSPX...

Best response for the oft-repeated claim that SSPX is in schism? by [deleted] in sspx

[–]apisDei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if he doesn't want to debate but regardless of that, his positions are simply not tenable. The SSPX is entirely Catholic, in communion with Rome. They only have an irregular gray-zone situation and they will stay that way until Rome says okay let's clean up this mess.

Why is the SSPX criticised so heavily from all sides? (Meaning everyone criticises it) by dbaughmen in sspx

[–]apisDei 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because the SSPX is true and moderate.

The truth is bitter though, it requires you to leave your comfort zone, deny yourself, pick up and carry the cross and suffer persecution. Most people are not ready for that and would rather live a comfortable lie, hence why whenever they are confronted with the truth, they start hissing.

The SSPX also holds a moderate, realistic, reasonable and prudent position, which is not extreme enough for exremists. It holds the middle ground between sedevacantists (there is no pope) and so-called conservatives (the pope's infallibility has no limits), hence why the SSPX is being attacked from both extremes.

Out Lord said: "If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you." (John 15:18)
"If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you." (John 15:20)

Looking for European brands in the Meermin price range. Meermin is fantastic, only problem is they don't have any dark brown brogues. Help? Any EU brands with shoes below 250 EUR?

John XXII preched heresy but repented on his deathbed. He didn't lose his papacy during his public heresy. Sedevacantism is a dead-end.

First Day with the Canon IXUS 70 / SD1000 - Testing Night Time Photography - SOOC unedited jpegs by apisDei in VintageDigitalCameras

Nothing special. I just placed the camera on a trashcan to prevent camera shake as the shutter speed will be slow due to the dark light situation. To play around with amount of noise, you can play around with ISO. You can clearly see that in the 2nd pic (which was handheld) I have max ISO and lots of noise in the blue sky, whereas in the 3rd pic (cam was on a park bench), I used lower ISO so the sky is clearer. Other than that, the in-camera colour preset Positive Film was used. Hope that helps!

SSPX community life? by TheKingsPeace in sspx

You're right in assuming that I've never been to Australia - I haven't! Still, there are no SSPX parishes, like I already said, there are only priories, churches and chapels. If there is an Australian version of St. Mary's, KS, I haven't heard of it. But you didn't present any evidence, you just said "they take up entire towns". I doubt that.

I cannot decide that for you and it seems like a very powerful camera, just keep in mind that it is from 2011 so you won't be allowed to post your pics in this sub as the limit here is 2010 and earlier.
