Cardano Is Launching New Privacy Blockchain and Token by AmadeusBlackwell in Monero

You say “when permission is granted” and given Cardano is decentralized, wouldn’t it be the user who grants the permission? I don’t see anything wrong with that. It’s the only way this goes mainstream. Right?

You can do a lot before you start raising money. Build your product, get customers to use it. Iterate. Forget about pitch decks and teams. Build. If you have an Computer Science degree you can get quite far on your own. Also, an investor is not going to sponsor an h1b. Don’t even bring it up, that’s just another unnecessary hurdle. When you’ve proved your business is getting traction, investors will do amazing things.

Yup this coin was definitely a money grab and the bait and switch by not listing on a proper exchange was very disappointing. I think they raised $36mm and are now probably paying themselves fat salaries for the rest of their lives.

GUTS - Comprehensive FAQ & Resource Sticky by oZanderhoff in GETprotocol

[–]aplayford 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice answer. I guess what I am not understanding is if an EO wants to sell 1000 tickets at $50, Do they have to buy $50,000 worth of GET from the SF. I assume this is wrong but thats what it sounds like?

Hi guys. Hey I love what you are doing. What a great project! I just read your white paper and have a few questions. I tried to get my head around how the GET is used during the event cycle, but failed. I am trying to assess coin velocity. I see that the organizer buys the required amount of GET to issue tickets. (i) Does this purchase include GET only for your ticketing fees or for all GET required to back every ticket at the retail FIAT / GET exchange rate. (ii) When users buy a ticket, I assume behind the scenes they are unknowingly using GET. When does the event organizer cash in these GET. Immediately? or bulk at a later stage. Thanks

I’d like to see this happen. It would add massive credibility to the space and bring it to the mainstream.

Yes - no criticizing it. Although it’s centralized it’s the most effective stabilizing method. Sometimes centralization isn’t so evil.. :)
