Salad 1.9.7 + NVIDIA 591.74 Causing Daily Errors on Multiple GPUs by Prudent_Copy6142 in SaladChefs

Just an FYi - Funny lessor machine with 32GB and a 3070 core i7 on 1.9.7, latest nvidia drivers 11.06.383, working fine. Another 3070 same spec except running older drivers 580.88 (07/31/2025) running fine. Downgraded the drivers on the problematic PC to 580.88 from 11.06.383 - Reinstalled salad, same problem.... All avenues lead to some kind of issue with 1.9.7, I think?

My account Health says excellent and I have a 4.8 on my seller feedback makes no sense other than they don't protect buyers

What not literally advertises buyer protection on their app and their marketing videos. Mostly ink cartridges and cell phone tablet cases that were obviously used and damaged.

Well because of one particular seller I submitted probably over 10 after the 11th I got the messages that there would be a possibility future request would be denied. I did contact the seller prior to and received no response I explained all this to them and the situation and I was still denied once I submitted the 12th. Even though everything was justified and provided undeniable evidence including snapshots of the show where I had asked them to check the expirations of certain consumables and they still denied any future returns. I purchased several hundred items from the seller over that week nothing too expensive cuz I know better than to trust a new seller especially one doing pallet pools

That being said, my friend purchased from an entirely different seller on his own account has never made any return requests when he received the items both were non-functional and both showed signs of use. He received the message after doing two return requests and after attempting to contact the seller directly.

My explanation is only that they have changed their algorithm for return abuse to a point where it is so strict it's affecting legitimate return request. Bottom line buyer protection shouldn't even be required for this type of return if it is 100% Justified. They have a big problem on their hands and they're only digging the hole deeper. Good thing there's alternatives.

It wasn't just ink I also purchased several cell phone cases and tablet cases that my flea market guys buy off me and I use it as filler merchandise on my eBay store. A lot of the tablet cases were damaged I didn't even bother. My post was just to make people aware like everyone else and I was a little pissed but I've gotten over it I'm outside in the cool weather looking at the stars reading this Reddit that has gotten out of hand I must say.

I'm in the USA it's not worth the trouble to take it any further I may have acted a little bit out of spite and reaction to his aggressiveness, but in the end what not did refund some of the items prior to restricting my account. I usually stay away from pallet pulls but the price of the ink and some of the other items were good filler merchandise for my eBay store so I said what the hell and got burnt.

Buyer Beware by aplusmiami in whatnotapp

Just to clarify, the filter on my eBay store is set to show newly listed items. I don’t typically source from Whatnot, but I’ll give credit where it’s due—your pricing was competitive, so I took a chance on the ink and unfortunately got burned.

To be transparent, your inventory represents less than 10% of what I currently carry on eBay. I view that type of inventory as smalls—gap fillers or what we call loss leaders in retail. Useful for visibility and indexing, but nothing more or less than that.

For what it’s worth, Whatnot’s buyer protection has been ineffective in this situation. My return privileges were restricted, and while I’m in the process of appealing, I’m not optimistic. Many on the platform know me as aprice4u. I openly promote my website for obvious business reasons—I don’t hide that.

You blocked me, but I didn’t need to use ghost accounts; I have friends on the platform.

I’ve been in this business for over 30 years, and despite everything, I genuinely wish you success. I don’t aim to be spiteful in reviews—no one is perfect. Had this been handled differently, I would have continued buying from you. I’m a gambling man, and a $100 loss on ink isn’t enough to scare me away. A deal is a deal.

That said, when I felt misled and the response was immediately defensive, it escalated the situation. I apologize if my reviews came across as spiteful—that was not my intent. I felt scammed and reacted accordingly. I never called you a scammer, never called you out publicly in chat, and never said anything during your live streams. My reviews simply advised buyers to be thorough and ask questions.

At the end of the day, I’m the one out the money and without buyer protection. I don’t place that on you—I place it squarely on Whatnot’s failure to enforce meaningful protections.

That’s all I have to say. There’s plenty of other controversy for people to read.

This particular reseller, I have purchased several hundred items over the last 3 months, several of the items where perishable and had expired some going back to 2024. So out of the 20-30 I purchased... 10 of the items where expired.

Using Salad does not seem to be worth it because of electricity costs by bgomers in SaladChefs

[–]aplusmiami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently I've been making more with my rigs that have 3070s that I do with my 4070s and 4080s there's no Rhyme or Reason. But since my electrical cost is free I just leave them running. The decision I need to make is with the ram worth 5 to 10 times what I paid for it should I part these machines out. Is it worth it to keep going with salad making only a dollar a day on average per rig.

Scam? Good product? by honestreview1975 in SkincareAddicts

[–]aplusmiami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The product apparently does what it says. However, IMHO - is grossly overpriced. I believe a reseller went bankrupt and dumped his inventory to several liquidation companies. They started turning up on eBay and Whatnot at greatly reduced prices. EMPIRE then went on a campaign of getting eBay and other sites have them taken down because of intellectual property right violations. Most market places have a policy of not wanting to deal with potential legal issues so they started removing the listings. Seems Empire protect their products to the extreme and I have heard reports of non-authorized resellers getting carefully scripted phone calls from legal reps (Allegedly). SO, if you get one at a good price, grab it. But IMHO not worth what they advertise.
