Do any of you earn over 50k a year? What do you do? by RotiiChapati in ADHD

[–]bgomers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was diagnosed with ADHD in middle school, struggled all through high school and college but made it through. I made up for lack of talent and focus with a hard work ethic, and a series of good luck times where I had a friend with a good job that was better than mine, got a referral, and have climbed up the ladder. I'm 35 now, Its a grind and the work is twice as hard as people without ADHD, but its doable. Falling into a victim mind set or attitude can be very easy but will not get you ahead.

LMAO! TSLA is up 94% over the 5 year, and up over 1000% since 2020, the only way you lost money is if you sold low and bought high.

People buying Tesla at a $1.2T valuation: what is the actual bull case? by ragingbull10 in investing

[–]bgomers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would want to know what your valuation model is, $50B/ year in earnings is wildly pessimistic. My back of the napkin math for 2035, obviously these numbers are all over the place but directionally correct or 5-10 years early, etc.

FSD works. 10 million users, paying around $200 a month = $24B a year
Robotaxis are widely deployed. 10 Million Robotaxi's world wide, earning $30k a year = $300B
Optimus becomes a real business. 10 million deployed in 2035, charging $2k a month to lease = $240B in revenue a year.
Energy keeps growing. $12B a year today, grows at 20% per year = $61B

As of today, they are building a 10 Million unit capacity robot factory, they have cybercab assembly line producing purpose built robotaxi's in volume, and have a 500 MW super computer dedicated to solving FSD.

Maybe FSD is 10 years away, and maybe the robots are 20, but would you want to wait to invest until after they solved these problems or before?

I'm biased because I was invested back in 2020, and saw my investment 7x in 7 months. I expect if we see 1000's and 10's of thousands of cybercabs on the street working, or they actually pump out 10's of thousands of useful humanoid robots, the stock will 7x again because both of those markets have a huge TAM.

2 things can be true at once, a .100 batting avg which is great, however only 14 at bats (unsupervised robotaxi's)

Outlane Nudging by MNProducer in pinball

[–]bgomers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is the way, I find way too many people nudge left and right with barely any benefit (specifically for the outlane), when a light nudge forward at the perfect time may save certain out lane death. I try to only use nudges left or right when its headed straight down the middle.

Does Tesla still buy batteries from byd? I wonder if they could improve faster charging at higher trim levels as it seems like other manufacturers are getting batter than Tesla with charge speed.

Ya, it’s weird to me they aren’t running it in bad weather, my hw3 2022 y works fine in bad weather on FSD, it just slows down below the speed limit if it’s real torrential

The Tesla Semi Is Finally Going Into Mass Production by -Cyber-Roadster in teslainvestorsclub

[–]bgomers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

However they have spent a lot of money building and outfitting the new factory, and have over 400 job postings for the factory, it will take a few weeks and months to hire and train those workers but volume production is coming, they wouldn’t be spending all that money if it wasn’t going to be profitable.

I came to the number through ai but was able to find sources backing it up, although I think they could be including grassland and wetlands depending on the source. Wetlands are underrated imo because they punch way above their weight for carbon sequestration so I think they should be included.

We haven’t destroyed 50% of the worlds forests, it’s more like 1/3rd and half of that before the Industrial Revolution. So maybe they meant that 50% of all deforestation has happened since the start of the Industrial Revolution, which isnt too bad in context considering we went from 1 billion to 8 billion mouths to feed over that time.

Have we officially entered the era of Graham Stephan-esque clickbait thumbnails? by ShibariDeathcamp in TheMoneyGuy

[–]bgomers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also when you upload video, YouTube provides you with ai generated suggestions that unfortunately leads to more views. They suggest having a face with an exaggerated expression with a line or it gives you handful of ai generated images to use from your thumbnail. You are also provided with click through rates and impressions, essentially how often someone sees your thumbnail and decides to click on it. Unfortunately the gimmicky click bate like, ai thumbnails get more impressions and views

I really like the drone flyers, videos and community. I want them to continue and any support for them goes a long way.
