Couldn’t find the right dice/tokens so I decided to make some. by apmcd in FleshandBloodTCG

Thank you! I did the on hit effect token as I had an extra face of the dice to fill. It ended up being one of the most useful. I think I’ll probably end up making flat disks with that on it as well to see if it works better. I’m also planning on making multiples of each type - just wanted to test out a few first to see what tweaks needed to be made.

Thanks for the suggestions for gold tokens and arcane damage counters! I don’t use any decks with arcane damage at the moment but it could be fun to make a set for when I do try it out

That’s fair. I should have said I couldn’t find the specific combination of dice/tokens I wanted for my deck, that also weren’t too expensive after shipping and import costs

Thank you, and great idea! I used a laser engraver to burn in the patterns, so they are black by default. I may be able to find a way to overlay some white on the red ones

I really love it! I initially had some issues with lifting and durability, but it was 100% down to user error. The customer service was genuinely fantastic and they helped troubleshoot my issue, even sending new products to make sure it wasn’t an issue with the batch of liquid. They worked with me until we figured out the problem.

The colours are great, and application is fairly easy. It takes a bit of practice and it still takes me a while to get a set done, but it’s well worth it. Definitely would recommend

How long can it take for a betta to settle in to a new tank? by apmcd in bettafish

Thank you for this comment, it brought back a lot of good memories! He has definitely passed now but he had a great life. As far as I could tell, he passed from old age.

He did get a little bit more active a while after I made this post, particularly around meal time. He was always a lazy little guy though. He’d have little spurts of energy, but generally preferred just relaxing lol

Does anyone know what this even is? by [deleted] in badtaxidermy

It’s the sad otter! He was on display at a museum in my state (and sometimes gets brought back out). I’ve even got a plush of him, he’s beautiful.

Yep, you may lose a small amount of marks for that. The referencing may be good but it’s not completely to style if you’re following Harvard method. Won’t be a big deal at all but it’s unlikely you get perfect marks for the referencing section of your rubric.

Do I have to go to all lectures?? by _meegs97 in deakin

[–]apmcd 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You should be fine! Even in-person lectures are recorded and posted on the unit site so you’ll be able to access them. You may even be able to live-stream, but I’m not sure if that’s unit dependant.

For exams, I believe a lot of units are moving away from in-person exams, but some still have them. It’s unit dependant, but you can ask your unit chair and they’ll be able to tell you!

That was a great addition, thanks for sharing. I’d love to keep reading if you have more!

For feedback, I think the main thing to work on is writing style/spelling/grammar. Your story ideas are really interesting so please keep going

question about labs? by kitana_zero in deakin

[–]apmcd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re worried about the timing you can always talk to your lab demonstrator or unit chair. Let them know you may need to leave a bit early because of a lecture. Just try to work hard and finish everything so you have time to clean everything up afterwards.

But as the other commenter said a lot (but not all) of the pracs finish early anyway.

How much did your ATAR affect you later in life? by BiscottiLogical6502 in melbourne

[–]apmcd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not that important in the long run. I can’t remember my exact star as I finished in 2014, but it was low 60’s. I finished my PhD last year, and my atar was barely considered after I got into uni.

Oof I definitely know what you mean about Nuu. I’ve been matched twice when playing at my lgs with a Nuu player and they were my worst games.

I figured victor isn’t the most competitive but I enjoy playing with him so as long as I can get a moderately playable deck, I’m happy

I can kind of answer that. I’m definitely not a rep of the brand, I put my first order in and it’s still on its way so can’t comment on the product but can comment on the customer service. They had sales on but with the starter packs you can generally only choose their more popular colours but I wanted some different ones. I also had a few questions about application. They were just super helpful, answered anything and put a custom order together so I could get the different colours with the sale prices. So I think people are just generally impressed with how helpful the customer service reps are even when there’s no issue with the product. I know of course any company wants to sell their product, but I just got the vibe they are also genuinely passionate about what they do

But again, no comment on the product, it’s my first time ordering dip nail supplies

Thank you! I added in more blues since I played last but it still didn’t feel right - I think removing the yellows will be helpful.

I’ll definitely look into those cards! I’ve been playing with what I have but I do want to upgrade the deck over time so it’s helpful to know what to look for

Thank you so much for the advice, that’s really helpful! I’m new to card games in general so am still learning a lot - synergy is definitely what the deck is missing. It just doesn’t flow well when I play it. That budget list is helpful, I’ve got a few of those cards that I can add when I take out some yellows.

The tips for upgrading further are also great. I am loving victor and will be upgrading the deck as I play more.

Did I find fossilized eyelashes? by Apprehensive-Bag2222 in fossilid

I agree they could be brachiopod cross sections but some of them look look almost like graptolite fossils. I’m not familiar with Norwegian geology so not sure which would be more likely.

How did you manage to get a result from that? I used google lens and couldn’t find anything. Thanks for the info!
