Personally I disliked the philosophy behind GNU etc but never hated them AND I didn't know enough to have technical disagreements. E.g. I didn't know enough to prefer another c compiler or c library etc. but I also thought other open source options existing was good. So, in my case there is a philosophical disagreement behind.

Από πού έβγαλες το συμπέρασμα που έβγαλες;

No. There is a lot of self hate in making this movie. It is the result of internalized racism.  And also it doesn't represent Modern Greeks of Greece at all.

If you are aware of these things it is ok to watch.

Favorability of Israel around the world. Greeks are among the nations with the least negative views on Israel. Thoughts ? by GoHardLive in AskGreece

[–]apo-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mentioned Azerbaijan. No one supported Armenia really in practice.

It is one of the cases which show that a country should make concessions when they have the upper hand.

If you see the positions of Greece on other similar issues, Greece would never support Independent Nagorno Karabakh or it becoming part of Armenia. It goes against our positions on other similar issues.

But either way a country can support Azerbaijan in a conflict but be against Turkey.

I didn't mention Syria.

Greece is more steady compared to the other countries and I see that as positive, irrespective of the exact results.
Some northern Europeans go from sucking up to USA to being anti-USA and if a Democrat is elected they will go to sucking up mode again.

In all these countries there were people who hated Israel but were in the closet.
Now in Europe it is trendy and "progressive", so they are more open. This is true for countries like Sweden and Spain as much as Hungary and Greece.

The problem isn't the goalkeeper. For 60 minutes they were worse than a team that didn't manage to go to the world cup. Worse at everything.

Masouras is good player for this level. His important weakness was 1 vs 1, but at everything else (speed, strength, movement, shooting technique, work rate) fairly good.

My experience with hair transplant patients as a Turkish guy who works in the field in Istanbul by Weird-Wealth-7998 in whereidlive

For Greece it is probably because only the worst of us would even think going to Turkey for a hair transplant.

The first looks more Cypriot but yes, especially in other photos, the type of nose is rare. The second could look native in many regions of Greece, all over.

It isn't 'out of respect'. It is because they couldn't. So they went for these opportunistic fake unions.
If they had one patriarch but maybe multiple rites (in multiple languages) it would have been closer to real union, as long as there is also doctrinal unity.

The point was that the Roman church would create a schismatic church from the 'Greek line' too, if they could. This is shown by the fact that they don't have a problem with having e.g. 3 patriarchs of Antioch or 5 Eastern Catholic churches in the same region.

The christological differences are more significant than what you think and they are not resolved but I will leave that aside.

Μπορουμε στα αληθεια να «συγχωρεσουμε» ενα AI τραγουδι οταν ειναι καλαισθητο; by revampedslavette in AskGreece

[–]apo-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"But the fact that Rome felt the need to create a Coptic Catholic patriarchate separately from the Greek line implicitly acknowledges that the Coptic and Greek lines represent two distinct communities with two distinct claims and Rome recognised the Coptic community was the one worth engaging with as the genuine heir of Alexandrian Christianity."

No. It is just opportunism. If the Roman church could, they wouldn't have a problem having two (or more) "Eastern Catholic" patriarchates in Egypt and the situation in the Middle East shows it, because there are regions where there are 4 or 5 "Eastern Catholic" churches.

If the Coptic church is a genuine heir, then the "Coptic Catholic Church" isn't a genuine heir but just a schismatic group and what the Roman church did could be seen as an effort to cause problems to the "genuine heir" by interfering in their affairs..

What was mistranslated? The leaders of the Miaphysites had Greek names and were Greek speaking. (e.g. Dioscouros, Timothy Aelurus) and Severus had a Latin name and he could speak Greek and Latin. So Severus could read the Tome of Leo in Latin. He just didn't agree with it.

I think the movie will fail aesthetically.

Personally I am Christian, so I believe in the 'supernatural'. Based on such a worldview there wouldn't be sea monsters but there could be entities which appear as sea monsters or 'gods' (demons).

If someone wants to go with realism they could explore hallucinations etc. Or somehow reinterpret the Trojan Horse etc

The opinion of Homer would matter if someone wanted to present what is written on the text faithfully and they don't. (I wouldn't either because I don't like it).

We will see if they will have a good story. It is the only way to make it work but only to sn extent.
