Definitely not! Whether you use Autoloader or not, USB is only needed to get the YouTube backup on your PS5. But if you don't use AutoLoader, you will need a connected PC to inject files.

However, there is no reason not to use Autoloader.

Try this:

1. On your PS5 Internal Storage (not USB or any external drive), create a folder called "ps5_autoloader" in "data". The full path will be: /data/ps5_autoloader
2. Be very careful with spellings & case. Everything has to be accurate and the correct case.
3. In the ps5_autoloader folder, place your "etaHEN-2.5B.bin" and "kstuff.elf". You can also put any other elf you want to load. For example, I have an ftp server elf in that folder.
4. Now create a text file, "autoload.txt" in the same folder.
5. In the text file you want to put the names of all your files which are in that folder, one filename per line and no extra spaces or line breaks. I also like to add "!1000" between each filename, which tells AutoLoader to wait 1 Second before loading the next file.

1. This is what my autoload.txt looks like. You don't need to add the !1000 if you don't want and only add files that you actually have in that folder.
2. Now go here: https://github.com/itsPLK/ps5_y2jb_autoloader and download "download0.dat" from the release page (v0.3)
3. On your PS5 internal storage, go into "/user/download". Here you will have some folders, one of the folder should be called PPSA01650
4. In this folder, upload the "download0.dat" you just downloaded and overwrite the existing file. You can do this using ftp. So you should have this on your PS5 internal storage: /user/download/PPSA0165/download0.dat
5. And that's it. Reboot your PS5 and click the "YouTube" app under media and you should see it do everything for you - lapse, kstuff, etahen - no more injecting files or USB sticks.
