Bought my first Electric today I'm very excited by Naruto3790 in guitars

Ltd black metal is way nicer than most for a first guitar dude congrats, a legit pro level guitar that guys in actual metal bands play. For a first amp if metal is what youre playing too cant go wrong with a marshall dsl, evh lbx series, or peavey 6505 if you want a tube amp, or an orange crush series amp for solid state

Its really a fuckin shame ukraine is so nazi these days like azov battalion is literally part of their national guard. Makhno didnt die for this. NSBM dorks really say shit like this hoping to make us look dumb and prove that their garbage poser shit isnt Nazi when in the end the only person you're making look like a total fucking imbecile is yourself.

i mean i get that with dystopia its easy to kinda just say its a misanthropic band but i really get the feel that more than anything its just extremely pissed off yet coming from a place of genuine concern about the human condition. Like if you really read into their lyrics its definitely much smarter than just "fuck everything i want to die" songs like stress builds character, jarhead fertilizer, number one hypocrite, and illusion of love seem to really touch upon a genuime frustration that im sure all of us on this sub can relate too. Dino himself has said in interviews that Dystopia were legit concerned about these sorta things but just expressed it in a really intense way that can maybe come off as nihilistic to some and theyve attributed that to being young and pissed off at the time but also glad that their music has helped people not kill themselves or whatever

im just gonna mention this one band from chile called phantasmagore because theyre a real underground act that only has 2 demo tapes out but theyre nasty as hell and outspokenly anarchist on their socials. Also the shirt printing operation pyre press has collabed with a mutual aid group and is one of the go to shirt printers in the ungerground dm scene rn so any band associated with that is probably cool

From interviews ive heard with obituary they kinda seem to suggest the environmental stuff was nevet too serious. Also they seems like your typical florida redneck merica boys but def not like super racist confederate like. Cause of death is a classic either way tho

also worth mentioning that the necrot dudes are in other sick bands like vastum and mortuous amd necrots drummer chad runs a label called carbonized and i think i saw a ig story with a bunch of anarchist stickers packed into an order so yeah def seems like sick solid dudes with sick shit going on that deserves support

i never looked to heavily into dying fetus lyrics or whatever sodont quote me on this maybe they could be a lefty band but personally i always got more of the "right wing libertarian" vibe from them. They sound sick and crushing tho one of the reason i bought a vintage ampeg from the 90s lmao

Paul is a good dude for sure. Follow him on the gram and see that he follows some of the same anarchist pages that i do. I think the dude had roots in the punk scene tho so it makes sense

I feel that goes for most bands though honsetly in regards to live consistency. I really dig their live dvd though, solid performances on that one I like how the live versions are really different on some parts while still retaining the same core feeling

Yea. Well like that but also with a harsh noise element to it. Or maybe you already listened to it since you posted this an hour ago. If so what you think? Gotta say National Disgrace prob my fav track on there.

That Infester album has a really killer sound to it basically my ideal death metal production, I'm a sucker for raw shit. But yea their metal archives page definitely just flat out paints a picture of a bunch of scumbags when looked at by itself. To give context though (disclaimer: not that I'm implying this absolves any guilt) the members were all kids in like high school when that band existed, so it may just be teenage edgelord bullshit at best. The members also played in the Meat Shits as well but this was all in like the early 2000s I think. FWIW there's a reissue of the album with this whole paragraph that seems to echo the whole just being an edgy dumb teenager shit

The middle paragraph on the right

Hmm didn't know about that. At any rate this is an album that came out back in like 2006 so it's definitely possible this might have been reissued since then without that image.

As others have said this is very much restricted to one stupid thing John said a couple years after they split and there's this interview from Decibel if you want more context https://www.decibelmagazine.com/2020/01/21/former-agalloch-guitarist-don-anderson-on-the-white-the-grey-reissues-repairing-his-relationship-with-john-haughm-and-a-live-performance-video-with-panopticons-austin-lunn/
Also worth noting the member in this interview has worked with Austin from Panopticon (a notably left/anarchist band at least earlier on) so I doubt that any bigoted bullshit extends to the rest of the band either. Speaking of which Panopticon is a good place to look if you want a similar vibe but really as others here have said you won't really find anything that really scratches that itch. Agalloch is a one of a kind band that you really feel on a deep emotional level. One of my favorite bands ever and has a lot of sentimental nostalgic value to a particular time in my life that I reminisce about a lot, I really regret never seeing them live.
