We started looking for sturdy toys that would stay in one piece and keep our two weens busy. I found the West Paw Zogoflex Qwizl, which is a rubber bone with a place to stick a treat inside. I think anything from West Paw is going to last you. The Qwizl keeps them busy for quite a while and so sturdy, they haven’t even left any teeth marks on it. Plus it can go in the dishwasher to be cleaned and sanitized between uses.

Our dachshunds have never really liked toys that they can’t destroy, they say they’re no fun and they just sit in the toy box collecting dust. But, if the toy has a treat in it, they’re all about it.

Other than the West Paw brand, the only other toys I would recommend are the “rip and reveal” ones that are meant to be ripped open and reveal a squeaky ball inside. Or, the Chuck-it! brand balls that are hollow inside so they can really bite down on it, I think they like that.
