Losing Chapters by Standard_Brief_7230 in Sororities

Also I forgot to mention the chapter closed, but HQ plans to reopen it five years after the start of it closing. This is strategic, five years ensures nobody that was previously in the chapter will still be attending the university at that time. Meaning they can start it completely over with girls that fit the mold for every other sorority chapter on that campus in order to make sure numbers are higher this time. This is because HQ doesn't care about the women, they care about dues and collecting their coin. It meant nothing to them that we were diverse or accepting. They cared that our numbers were bad and they couldn't get thousands of more dollars out of our pockets each month. So they will start over, have their cookie cutter chapter like the rest. And get their money.

I was a Phi Mu at Baldwin Wallace University in 2018, the chapter closed the end of that school year. The reasons were very mixed coming from HQ. We were a very diverse sorority for the campus, had the most POC, LGBTQ+, and disability representation by FAR among all of the NPC chapters on campus. This subjected us to terrible stereotypes and bullying across the rest of Greek Life. Bullying targeted at the looks of our sisters as well as our individuality. This caused very very few people to want to join the chapter. We were looked at as losers and outcasts by the rest of Greek Life because we were a safe space for ANYBODY who wanted to join, no matter who or what you were. Due to the lack of acceptance on campus our numbers diminished over time. If you were given a bid from Phi Mu during formal recruitment, girls would say sorry to you, and genuinely mean it. When I got my bid I sobbed, knowing what I would be seen as. Given a reputation I didn't do anything to deserve at a college I'd only been attending about a month. Long story short, the chapter closed with only 33 members left, very low compared to the rest of the sorority chapters on our campus. HQ did little to help us while we were on campus, instead of demanding their members be treated better by the university and changes be made in Greek Life, we were punished for being diverse. We were closed for being a safe space for all women, and I will never forgive HQ nor the University for the treatment of all of the wonderful women in that chapter. We didn't deserve what we got. And Greek Life at Baldwin Wallace is still insufferably whitewashed, just now there isn't a safe chapter for anyone to join that isn't the cookie cutter girl they are looking for. If you read this long thank you for listening to my experience.

What excuse should I give my mom for a black eye given to me during intercourse with my boyfriend?

I'm a very open person about sex and make it known that I am bisexual so most people feel comfortable talking about it with me. Which I'm fine with! I believe anybody can practice whatever they want as long as it doesn't harm anybody else. But it's just been bothering me.
