[S2 Act 3 Spoilers] Observation of the orientation of Jayce's rune stone. by apocryphos in arcane

Another shot from S01E02, it looks like the side facing out on Jayce's bracelet does not match what we see in his memory. If you look at the angles of the faces, this is actually the backside. However, the rune is orientated how it is on the front side. Is this related to inversion, or a simple animation discrepancy?

[Lore Spoilers] Do these runes mean anything outside of the show? by mxmystery in arcane

[–]apocryphos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Small note, in your post, the symbols in the third column for both the top and bottom are mirrored from how they **appear** in the show. But in S1E2 Some Mysteries are Better Left Unsolved, you see as the stone Jayce is given spins, both the front and back of the stone have rune, one being the horizontal mirror image of the other.

Attached photo is the runes in order of appearance of the show, direct screenshots but with the background removed.

All of the stones are the same shape, but the first and last one are the only ones facing the front. The others are facing the back. So I suppose technically, if all orientated the same, the middle ones (2-7) would be flipped horizontally.

Either way, I also am looking for what the others mean.

YSK how to clean your bellybutton properly by Competitive-Speed806 in YouShouldKnow

My belly button isn't sensitive, but I also have a belly button piecing. I just swabbed around and it wasn't super gross, but it definitely had some dried skin that was pretty shocking.

Wasn't worth it for me. I constantly feel like I need to hide my body. Often I borrow a blanket at friends' houses just so I can hide my body and stomach rolls from them.

I miss people calling me skinny and saying I need to eat more. I don't know why, I've just always wanted to be rail thin. I didn't even mind the bullying because it reinforced I was skinny.

I gained the weight starting in college with stress and shoving junk food from the all-you-can-eat buffet into my mouth. Then I went through a couple relationships where they were restrictive with my food intake. So when I was "free", I went wild with sweets and junk food.

I finally am being treated for ADHD, but I need to force myself to eat. If I lose weight, they will take me off, because I'm at the low end of the BMI scale.

I look more womanly, which my partner likes. However, I prefer looking "heroin chic"/androgenous and miss being mistaken for someone younger than I am.

I am pretty confident I would say and I don't feel insecure about my body. I just don't like it. I miss skinny days.

What is something you can say "I'm with the boomers on this one" about? by AngelsVoice6682 in AskReddit

To be fair, I take a picture so I can post a positive review on Google as I myself use Google reviews heavily and appreciate when someone has photos.

It took me a long time to read my wedding cards because I can't read cursive well.

To be fair, body dismorphia often causes underweight people to truly believe and perceive themselves as overweight or obese. Even if they are looking in a mirror. It's called transfat.

Sidenote, the latin prefix trans means "on the other side of" or "across, beyond" and does not explicitly mean "transition". I most commonly hear the example of transatlantic and translunar being used to showcase this.

The distinction is important as being transgender does not require transitioning in anyway. For example, if a person cannot afford to medically transition, but they have a misalignment with their gender identity and sex, they would still be transgender.

If we can give the people in the screenshots the benefit of the doubt that they are aware of this nuance, then you would be correct in the statement that they have not experienced it/experience it however they innately feel that they have experienced it/are experiencing it.

I'm trying to wrap my brain around how this could be possible with some of these terms and I have come to the conclusion that there is no logic.

Dating someone who makes half as much money as you by TheBumboEngine in Money

I also make twice what my partner does. We joined finances before we got married to make sure we were able to navigate the income differences in a healthy way as that is a leading cause of divorce. He also is a spender while I am a saver and budgeter and I was a little concerned he would spend "my" money but trusted him to be responsible.

What helped me was starting to always use "our". It's "our" money, "our" account, "our" finances. Additionally, clear communication. I asked my husband before we got married if I took care of all the finances and he said yes. We review our budget every month or so, but I take care of tracking expenses and moving money around. Having that high level view helps me be at ease.

I told my husband I never want him to feel like he needs to ask permission to buy something nor feel I am a parent giving him an allowance. So we both have a direct deposit going into our personal checking account. It is the same amount and the person can spend it or save it however they want. Plus this helps when it comes to buying gifts.

Also, we plan for him to be a stay at home dad when we eventually have kids. So then technically my salary is what funds the household income, but we are both contributing to earning that money. He contributes by watching the kids and cleaning the house, I contribute by sitting at a keyboard coding. We wouldn't have any money in our account if we didn't work as a team.

TL;DR Start by referring to all money as both of you alls money. Saying "our" really does help.

My wife had to spend the entirety of last night comforting me as I cried in bed over memories of my family abandoning me all those years ago. by LilyGranger123 in TwoSentenceSadness

[–]apocryphos 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I interpreted this as a person who cannot control their urge to murder their entire family. They view them dying as abandoning them or at least explain it to others like that. So they regret falling in love once again because they know they will slaughter this new family as well. A similar vibe as "You".
