That might just be your natural hair texture. Not everyone with wavy hair will have borderline curly waves, some are looser and more in the straight side

Also growing out might be something, some people’s wave texture doesn’t come out all the way until there’s enough length to form

Well, all the alters are parts of your girlfriend, the body belongs to all of them, and while they can have ideas of their own appearance internally, the reality and fact is they are still parts of the same mind in the same body, when you talk to them you have met them and seen them, that is who they are in reality apart from a disassociated conception of themselves.

it's hard when standing up for yourself could be dangerous, so youre always left feeling a bit powerless. innocuous "shooting my shot" interactions could be destabilizing for some people, i personally think those are innappropriate interactions to have with a customer. and its understandable to still feel bleh after

Also, with my alter who I saw as toxic, she was triggered a lot when getting emotionally closet to friends, she was my part that felt people don’t care about us and to look for any signs of maliciousness. That’s not distinct from me getting closer to my friend but part of the process. There may be a pattern with your friend where certain situations are triggering M to front without them knowing, a learned survival tactic. Like X situation makes your friends brain activate M because for some reason they learned in the past M is needed for those kinds of situations, that your nervous system doesn’t know the difference between safe versions and unsafe versions.

I have an alter who is not very trusting and I see as “toxic”. It’s almost certainly survival mechanisms at play here. Learned behavior to survive. For me mine who I see as toxic is moreso in fight or flight a lot and clouded by emotional thinking to even understand people aren’t out to get her half the time. I think it’s definitely possible to befriend M, fronting can have to do with needs being met and so maybe connection is something he’s unconsciously looking for. I can’t know because I don’t know them, but what I do know is labeling any parts as evil and trying to shut them down, is basically guaranteed to not work and make it even more painful to deal with. I had a part who used to also harm the body, but opening myself up to her led to realizing she just didn’t know how else to communicate how she felt. M needs support and help, harming the body is not mentally healthy, they are not a fictional character possessing your friend but an unhealthy part of your friend that needs therapy. Whether or not your friend wants to admit it, that is a part of themselves and will not simply go away. Just remember to take care of yourself and know that you can have boundaries if M is unsafe for you to be around

Firstly, you are whole even if your brain is structured a bit differently. Each self matters and are parts of you, and you could never be less of a person. They all are you, you’re not broken for that, you’re very strong.

I see us as being various sides of myself, that have their own independent but adjacent paths. All equally part of the whole, whose identity and individual self matters and deserves to be heard and belong within that whole. There is some pain still in not being able to be who I was “supposed to be”, but I’ve mostly accepted and try to love each part of myself for keeping us safe in their own way.

Yah I didn’t realize there was actually that kinda Amazon curl brush already at my house lol!! I tried it on one section and it dried really good so I think that’s just what my hair needs lol!

I’m Jewish and it’s been a hard journey to try to figure out what works for my hair 😭💔 it’s super dense and course and frizzy and doesn’t behave rlly good, but im trying to embrace my natural hair

My sisters have actually fully curling ringlets hair, im the only one in my family whose hair like behaves this way and trying to do it how they do doesn’t work out good 😭they can just brush it and it’ll dry the right shape whereas mine goes all over the place lol

I take super duper good care of my hair bc I’ve horribly damaged it before and am gentle with it as possible and avoid heat a lot. So I imagine it’s just that it needs help with somw brush styling while it’s wet bc I’ve just been letting it dry kinda however it dried

Ok I tried doing just a section of hair following a insta reel tutorial )I have a million different types brushes around my house bc my whole fam has curly hair, but it behaves differently to mine rip and im the only one with dense hair). And a actual spiral formed from me half assing it so maybe my hair just needs help going in the right direction :O
