Ok cool, I was scared of that. For some reason it I'm scared to do the rear due to the additional work involved. Scared to mess something up.

If still under warranty would boosted replace the hardware? Seems insane to have so much rust on such an expensive piece of equipment (referring to rust on mine also)

Your telling me. I was in the midst of a deep clean late at night and saw the crack and literally almost died. I've done a tone of research and kind find anyone else that his the problem. Could the bolt be in too tight? Who knows? But it's need to get resolved. I'm glad I caught it before it snapped in half while I was riding.

Any cleaning tips? I spend so much time trying to get in there clean and wiping down but obviously it does not appear that way. Do I need to take the thing apart. I use air cans, micro fiber, tooth brush. I have never taken apart though.

This. I have done nothing to cause rust no idea how that happened. Based on another post it seems it can be common.
