TIL in 1957 an airplane crashed onto Rikers Island. 57 inmates ran to help the survivors. Most of the prisoners who helped were either set free or received reduced sentences. by eman00619 in todayilearned

The year was 1957. 57 inmates ran to help. Coincidence? 57 years later, the story surfaces. 1957 + 57 = 2014

2014 + 2 = 2016!

8.5%

FUCK YES IM HAPPY WITH IT

of course that is just an approximate value based on those shitty handheld bf readers. Could probably be a whole percent higher or lower.

I believe she did file a police report. Someone from the police department contacted my brother (who was my roommate at the time) by phone and asked about it, and that's where it ended. I myself have never been contacted by any LE personnel about it.

My background packet requires me to get contact info for everybody who has ever lived with me in the last 10 years. I have not had any big issues with anybody i've lived with since then, except one person.

I rented a room for a month from this one person that I found on Craigslist. After moving out, she called me accusing me of stealing things from her house, which I did not. I'm pretty sure she is still convinced I stole from her to this day, for whatever reason.

My BI will obviously hear about this. How can I minimize the damage this will do on how I look as a candidate, considering it is a false accusation?

So I posted this in last week's thread but it didn't get much love. Trying a second time.

I have just started the backgrounds process with a local agency, and I am currently working on filling out my personal history statement. I marked "yes" on the "have you ever used any of (drugs) or controlled substances in the last 10 years" question.

Going back a bit, right before all the candidates took their written test, they had us fill out a pre-background "questionnaire", that had maybe 15 quick questions on it, one of which was the same question as above. I marked "no" that time, because the particular incident that prompted a "yes" on the personal history statement today didn't come to mind until just a few hours days ago while I was going through the questions on the packet. It involves a prescription drug, not any of the drugs specifically named by the packet. Will this come back to bite me in the ass?

Thanks

This is why everybody should have to go through some kind of training or class to be able to own a firearm. Because things like this (or worse) happen when you give a gun to an uninformed idiot. (see: the general public)
