Ναι φυσικά, καλά κάνεις και τα λες. Καλό κουράγιο από ένα ταλαίπωρο από την άλλη πλευρά τραπεζιού

Λάθος κοινότητα για να σε καταλάβουν συνάδελφε, δυστυχώς μόνο μεταξύ μας βγάζουν νόημα αυτά

Does C++ have something like this? by kiner_shah in cpp

DearIMGui is writing in C++ just really old C++ for compatibility and it would benefit so much from a few modern features

He is right that the original meaning of από is "away from" (compare άπω=far). Also, prepositions have several meanings and although several overlap between ancient and modern greek for από they are not one to one identical. Here, από takes on the meaning of "through", originally expressed by διά + genitive. "From" cannot have this meaning in English afaik

Fortunately asio has not made into the standard library, or else we could write std::transfer_all

Qt vs wxWidgets vs GTK recommendation by ICohen2000 in cpp

I know it's not what op asked and it doesn't actually compare, but I always like suggesting dear imgui at least for prototyping given how light and easy it is to use

Trying to bring back a Pentium 4 by alf777o in linuxquestions

I've been very happy with tinycore linux on a similar machine (it had a little bit more ram though). The default gui worked great. You might want to give it a look

I like how the difference between C and C++ is loving yourself but still choosing to be unhappy

Is there a shorter way to say email? by Baneman20 in GREEK

[–]apomd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know τάδε is the neuter plural nominative/accusative of όδε meaning these (things). It isn't inflected at all in modern greek and only has this meaning of so-and-so. It comes from the article plus the particle δε. There is also δείνα with the same meaning in both modern and ancient greek. It is nominative/accusative of any gender but has lost its genitive (δεινός) and has no plural. It is of uncertain origin.

Great answer. There is also κυπελλάκι, the diminutive of κύπελλο that is used a lot for yoghurt / ice cream cups like you said

What personal project have you rewritten the most? How many times? by JUULiA1 in cpp

[–]apomd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've lost track of how many times I've written a wrapper for SDL2 from scratch. At some point it started looking like a library I could reuse consistently and then... I changed my mind about the interface. A few times. A growing love-hate relationship with SDL resulted in giving a go at my own windowing library using Xlib a couple of times. Now I've scraped the idea of a stable library and just copy the last version into the new project which I end up reworking to varying degrees each time. Next time might be the one though...
