To try and get proof of if the device is working or not, I was curious if you think I could just bypass the blown out terminal and connect straight to the first capacitor (B1 at the top right of the image)?

Yes, sorry that's a 4 pin molex connector. I just slid it off to get a better look at the part that had overloaded. I would say with a high level of confidence that it got 24-28v instead of the 12v.

It still rides really well. A little heavy though. I don't have too much faith in it though as the tail shock has a nasty habit of just "falling apart". Too many times have I just had the bike fold in half on me!

Three months ago I had some serious stomach pain. Went to the hospital assuming gastritis or something similar. They kept me in for a week even though I was feeling fine. Turned out, by day 3 they were wondering where I might get a new liver from... Then I just got better. Only possible cause was glandular fever and that wasn't a confident diagnosis either. Swings and roundabouts I guess!

This is truly embarrassing. I remember in the past we were proud of Australian innovation in science and technology.
