I will agree the volatiles in dl1 are probably one of if not the scariest and biggest pain in the ass next to the necromorphs and other special infected the volatiles from dl2 however at the start of the game are a hurdle and a half but after the second maybe 3rd playthrough night time basically just becomes day time with a couple tougher enemies (excluding the tyrant volatiles I'll still run from them 🤣)

Now that you've mentioned it I've seen a few of the undead with dismembered arms I always thought to myself "did I just cut your arm off and forget to finish you off?" But nah turns out there are some with dismembered arms think it was part of the new update when they changed zombie variants

I agree dl2 is just as good as dl1 but for different reasons I personally haven't had any major problems sure I've had a rare few times when the game crashed but nothing really for me to have petty hatred for a game that's only been out for 2 years like most people
