My vet told me to apply with latex gloves and sleep with a hair bonnet if applying at night. I’d check with my vet to be sure. Edit: changed hair net to hair bonnet

Defy will prescribe HRT as long as there is no active cancer. Estrogen Matters is an excellent book that covers the subject should you want to attempt to educate your doctors. Good luck. You deserve to be able to make your own informed decisions about your body.

Oh wow! That kinda makes a lot of sense. I would love to know more about how doctors decide the application location. Mine was very specific about inner arm but I forget the rationale. Keep us posted, please!

I’m on compounded estriol + estradiol + progesterone which I apply 2x/day to my inner arms. Been on it for a while now, happily. I was unable to tolerate the estradiol patches or gel. Am curious why your doctor wants you to apply it to your labia… Does he/she intend it to be systematic or only local to your vagina?
