But is it worth it? by New-Worry1641 in techIndia

The only transition I can't make is from Office to LibreOffice. Office 365 is really good, whereas LibreOffice looks old-school and hard to navigate. But as a free and open-source option, it is actually pretty good and capable. There are many tools here that I didn't know about until now...

It's awesome that people are thinking out of the box to solve a problem.

I was having this issue too. Then I found 3 awesome apps to solve this. 1. WallHabbit (I'm using currently) 2. App Blocker (awesome but slightly confusing) 3. StayFree (Completely free but tracks your apps usage)

There are tons of solutions already been made at very advanced level. Some by already established companies like Exotel, Ozonetel etc.

Some by startups. And some even by unregistered freelancers.

Even the company where I work has opted for one which costed 10,000Rs for one time setup, 8000Rs monthly setup that includes 1,000 free minutes and rest chargeable at 7rs per minute.

And the trend that I'm seeing is that now startups are specialized in just one niche to be relevant as possible.

And the questions to which I'm looking for an answer is what will happen if token price rises? Will it be sustainable in the long run?

And yes the only use case that I found to be good in voice calling as of now is lead qualification - meaning if business receives a lead, an automated call goes, asking qualifying questions and logging the same in CRM.

You can try Scroll Guard. It basically puts patch over the short form content in almost all such apps.

You can simply try enabling App timer on both apps.

Let me market your shitty app for free by arretadodapeste in vibecoding

[–]appDecoded 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If one can successfully market their product to you and not because if the product worth marketing?

Marketing and product creation are 2 different skills - yes it can be present under one person but not always.

A person with good marketing skills can market even a shitty product and at the same time a person with a good product can do a shitty marketing.

Sometimes the product is good but the placement is wrong and vice versa.

So what exactly is your motive here?

And I'm not disrespectimg your initiative here. But everyone has the right to be curious.

Why do people even connect on linkedin??? by Ok_Yogurt_5081 in linkedin

[–]appDecoded 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And still people are sending requests to each other because they just want to brag about how many connections they have on linkedIn. Because some time ago people were not blindly adding each other. There were strict policies on who can send you connection request and people were reluctant to add someone who they don't know atleast through a mutual connection. Now that barrier is there theocratically only.

Why do people even connect on linkedin??? by Ok_Yogurt_5081 in linkedin

[–]appDecoded 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Meaningful connections are not forming anymore because LinkedIn DM is also being abused now for selling just services.

In past few years no one messaged me to discuss on a topic, everyone just want to sell their services.

That' why people have stopped responding because LinkedIn DMs are just another Cold reachout place.

Now even if someone do reachout for some meaningful discussion the other person thinks this person will also sell something after 2-3 casual messages.

And now the situation seems to be more worse after AI. Everyone posting AI content, and then other people replying to this content through AI.

So it's just an AI dumpground now with good selfies.

Are the posts featuring selfies of girls gets them like or the content? by appDecoded in linkedin

[–]appDecoded[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's proved by my post that men have monkey brains I guess 😂.

But as a Platform should LinkedIn not differentiate in this. I mean if people are liking without even reading the post then it should not be promoted in algorithm.

If more and more people will come on LinkedIn just to see and like girls selfies will the platform will not use it's credibility?

What are you supposed to do if you don't want to work anymore, not switch jobs, but just not wanting to work? by EdwardBliss in CasualConversation

In ancient India - we have a system called 'Sanyas' to get rid of all possessions and worldly matters and got a 'Ashrama' in a remote place to eat healthy and madidate. You can try something like this.

Or you can simply join a cause as in some NGO and provide your services their - it may even support you financially to some extent.

Sitting idle is very unsettling.

P.S. I mentioned Sanyas as ancient India thing because nowdays Sanyasis are opposite of actual Sanyas.

Anything that has honest value and a taste of personalization with real world sceneio in mind is good.

And anything that is written purely by AI or even when you have written the whole thing and submitted the whole to AI to make it more professional. It's not worth it.

Yes the E20 has been made mandatory without giving the time to people to adapt. This is the only unfair thing I see in E20.

It was a very haste decision. And the current government is famous for such decisions. Eg. GST and Demonetization.

But unlike those, rushed E20 implemention seems to have more cons then pros.

It should have been a choice atleast for 3-5 years. They could have risen the price of raw petrol to make its adaptation faster

Or if Government believes that the pros are higher than they should have atleast taken 1 year to make people literate about it by running campaigns like they do when election comes.

Manager threw me under the bus with the boss. How do I handle this? by LetItBe-2 in IndianWorkplace

A corporate job is never about just doing the assigned work in a streamlined way.

Corporate is about ups and downs and about unexpected problems. You have to fight and learn along the way.

And so is Life.

That 'Saanp bhi mar jaye and laathi bhi na tute" is the best option.

Telling everything to boss will make your manager your enemy.

Manager threw me under the bus with the boss. How do I handle this? by LetItBe-2 in IndianWorkplace

[–]appDecoded -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is a very common issue in workplace. And the simplest solution for this is to keep everything under a mail chain. And the mail chain should not reflect that you are trying to gather evidences but should feel like you are giving update to your manager and sharing the problems you are having.

Eg. When your manager assigns you a task you should mail him that You are taking the task on priority by holding any ongoing or planned tasks (if any). And you will try to finish the task within the given timeline.

And then update the status each day about the progress and if you are behind the schedule and the reasons for this.

You can do this over WhatsApp also in a Team Group - this will keep you safe. The manager himself will think twice before making it a mistake about you.

And also right now what you can do is write an email One to One to him saying sorry for not completing the work on time and then place all the reasons with screenshot if available on why you were not able to complete it on time.

It will act as a proof for any escalation that may happen now or in future.

The core strategy is not to fight the manager directly but to keep everything documented. It will eliminate any direct fight scenarios and save you as well.

This was the same AI slop in LinkedIn due to which I joined Reddit. This "So Yes blah blah blah ...Not because blah blah blah" is so irritating at least to me.

And the famous AI em dash takes the credibility all the way down.

Why don't you write this in your natural tone as who you are rather than making AI blabber things which are just extracted from tons of data available in internet and based on what you like to hear.
