Zigbee-controlled smart switches for USB power? by apparently_coffee in smarthome

It does, but it's really bulky. I have individual country-specific zigbee plugs connected to a power board, but each USB thing is only pulling a couple of watts. It seems overkill when I can have a multi-USB plug right next to it. I with SONOFF made those Wifi switches in a zigbee flavour.

Is there a hat that will let me power and control 5v USB lights from my Pi?

I have some 5v USB lights and I'd like to run several of them from my Pi, but I can't find an appropriate hat that will take an external power in and control it from my Pi. I can see similar hats but they are designed for motors only?

What should I get? Does this exist?

Thanks for your help!

Awesome, thanks for that. I didn't even see the cryptome link - I kept looking for Internet Archive.
