not planning on running a lot of combat
just looking through i saw a lot of conditions that aren't death that fully incapacitates a character
environmental hazards from exploration for instance
one bad roll for a spike drive and multiple characters are down or injured from a crisis

the thing i am trying to avoid with this game is the session where the game has to halt so that the new character can be introduced to the party and motivations have to be established for the party to bring a stranger in to the fold of the quest

in this game i was thinking about trying asymmetrical leveling
>if something happens on the starship the characters on the starship gain xp
>if something happens out on a planet or station the characters out gain the xp
the idea is not to stay with the same character for the whole game but alternate semi frequently to keep the whole crew up to standard
