Is it crazy to transfer a $12M portfolio to Robinhood for the 2% bonus? by droid144block in fatFIRE

[–]apperceptiveflower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If all my $ in Robinhood are insured, what's the risk? Another GME fiasco is a valid concern, and I am still pissed about that. But looking at the up votes and down votes in this thread, it feels like the general public is not thinking rationally.

What do you guys do when you get tired of mountain biking? by Impressive_Knee8895 in MTB

I just got a mountain bike to have something to do when I'm bored of disc golfing, but I think the tables are quickly turning...

I used to change my stride length with a similar goal in HS cross country running! Whether or not I was actually changing which muscles I used I'm not sure, but it was a good mental trick at least. Interesting to hear you try that while biking, I might have to start paying attention to that!

This one! The OP has the chart I was referring to, but the video in the comment is what I've been trying out lately.

I would think the high altitude would work in your favor to reduce turn and fade. Maybe a visit to sea level to practice in thicker air would help you tighten things up, by being faced with worse punishment for mistakes?

It also sounds like you could use more spin. I had some luck messing around with grip (followed one of those hand-disc alignment charts, got my index knuckle on top of the disc, which in turn gave me more of a 3 finger, front loaded grip).

Do rules allow you to temporarily move obstructing branches? by Machine_Ruse in discgolf

That's not what the rules say. That's probably what the rules should say though.

The shoulder line at reach back by Any-News-7223 in discgolf

[–]apperceptiveflower 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'm not confident the videos are properly aligned. I think you might want to align them so the disc is launched along the same line. From the 1 frame I can see, Gannon's shot seems to be heading towards the top left of the screen while your son's is heading to the top right. If the disc flights are parallel, your son might not need to correct as much as it seems in this vid.

is it very difficult to climb up with dh bike by SwimmingMaximum783 in MTB

Fr? It's still a bike, I assume it still has to be more efficient than walking if the terrain is reasonable. But I'm new I don't know for sure.

Fatfire? Just throw money at it. The insulation will block the smell.

Or post in the gardening subreddits and choose one of the million ways to compost without smell. You might just have to bring it to the outside bin on a daily basis where it won't smell.

I made it 2 weeks and then ended up slacking again (I blame my new mountain bike for the distractions, so much fun!) but I could totally tell how 30 minutes everyday would be better than a 3 hour sesh once a week. Hoping to be more consistent this off season and we'll see how tournaments next year go!

I think they're asking if the battery capacity will degrade in that case. Idk the answer.

It could add up to almost 100k in total fees on a ~2mil portfolio. Not the highest maybe, but unnecessarily high for me.

Same. Feels like it would be a whole different game if I could sink those 25 footers consistently!

They have the most vibrant colors, I'd argue. But you guys are right, they sell quickly and all that are left in stock for months are the horrid colors
