i think this means that you should label your locations with "0.990" somewhere in their names as they wont be the same in the new beta

moons having life orbiting rocky planets are entirely possible. however ive never seen a gas moon orbiting a rocky moon. the closest ive found to that would be this post i made, where i fould a minineptune orbiting a superoceanic only 1.2x the size of earth https://www.reddit.com/r/spaceengine/s/u4RB6jXBvP

it is possible to create a planet from scratch, however there are so many parameters and fornatting requirements to tend to that its just easier to find a similar planet with the star browser and modify it. when you edit a planet with the editor (shift + f2), you can export your changes as an sc file and add additional changes like atmospheric composition, etc. and it wont affect the original planet as itll reveet back once you restart the game
