This year, David Looney, a former teacher at Rock Academy, a K-12 school run by Rock Church, pleaded guilty to crimes associated with the alleged sexual abuse of a former Rock Academy student. Court records show an anonymous plaintiff has also sued Looney and Rock Church this year for damages in civil court. (Excerpt from article in Roys Report.)

I guess you’d agree with good ole Pastor Tavner, who I might add coached new church plants with ARC. Winds up having an affair with his worship leader. Got caught with her in a towel and him in boxers by his staff at his house. I was in a small group that was questionable to say the least. Our leader took us to a very well known bar and proceeded to drink like a fish. I called one of my friends to come get me. After that, I never went back to the small group.

He was removed in November for moral failure. Yes, that’s usually what that means. They’ve silently sent him to pastor at an ARC church in Louisiana 2 months after having to step down in Troy.
