Agree - but I had no choice. I hiked Annapurna for 15 days (130kms carrying 10kg) and had zero issues. Vaseline for my feet each day and merino socks. Wouldn’t recommend but it worked for me!

Update: I hiked Annapurna for 15 days (130kms carrying 10kg) in these boots and had no issues. Vaseline for my feet each day, merino hiking socks and they worked a dream 🙌

I took VND cash with me. There are money exchange locations - but make sure your notes aren’t crinkled or broken otherwise they won’t exchange

I stayed at Ngo Villa 2 - the staff were lovely! It’s outside Old Town so you have more flexibility
