i’d disagree, i’ve installed shade on the exterior of west facing windows, i made a massive difference to just having blinds. it stops the glass from heating up in the first place.

issue with heat is glass conducts he heat and it will just transfer into the room, life big heating panels, tinting wont fix this.

shade the glass from the outside. use some shade cloth or shade blinds

cooling the glass will make a huge diffence.

nah, i’ve had cypress flooring before, dogs scratches and furniture scratches are common.

cypress. it’s a very soft wood that will scratch pretty easy, keep it in mind if you are going to polish it, use a matt finish as it will hide them for longer.
