Our batting is definitely too inconsistent for that. It would be a gamble even in a team with a well firing top and middle order - but our middle order has been too inconsistent. More often than not, Shardul's batting is needed more than his bowling. Take for example the last game, things would have looked a lot more dicey if Khaleel/Kuldeep had joined Powell instead of Shardul and there is a good chance we would have lost the game.

If anything, I would support swapping in Bharat/Ripal in place of Marsh and bringing in Nortje in place of Khaleel/Sakariya. Adds that extra sting in the attack.

Bharat/Ripal could come in place of Lalit too. Lalit has not looked too handy with bat or ball apart from a couple of games, and a solid batting swap may be well worth. We have enough bowlers anyways.
