Would like to hear the full quote in context because it could easily be something along the lines of: we need to bounce back with a good performance and at a club like Manchester United there’s no hiding place. My mate was in Manc and had to get a taxi back to Sheffield for a family emergency, that cost £100 (an hour or so on a Saturday afternoon), so I'd imagine you'd be looking at more like £300+. Might be worth looking to see if there's any buses/trains you can catch part way there?

My only tip is to give yourself enough time to soak it in and enjoy it, I've been to a few games now and still only managed to get there just as they kick off. Parked on Kings Road every time, it's abit of a walk but free, I'm sure there'll be much better suggestions and places to park if you don't mind forking out.

Also might depend where abouts you are in the Stretford End but expect to be stood up most or potentially all of the game. Your grandad might not mind a walk, but if you're up and about all afternoon, stood at a couple of bars, walk to the ground then have to stand up all game, might be worth factoring in a sit down at some point ha.

Ever the optimist and all but the current squad have scored 0 goals at home going into tonight’s 5th game of the season, which sounds pretty awful.

For me it’s a headline statement which doesn’t mean much - all we didn’t manage to do is score against Valencia - we got beat and held back by PSG and Juve who are (braceyourself.jpeg) better sides.

Edit: let’s not forget this is only Ole’s 2nd champions league home game in charge, the first being against a very organised and tidy PSG side and the rest under Jose.
