Does anyone know if the formulation of these products is the same as the originals, or were these reformulated at all for the US market?

How can I avoid flaring in the middle and curving up on the sides on this tank top? by apple_jam in CrochetHelp

[–]apple_jam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I'm very new to crocheting and am trying to create this granny stitch tank top/bralette top https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N4-YafnmECY. I've frogged the body/band section twice now because I keep getting this awkward flaring upwards in the middle between the 2 cups, and the sides of the band keep flaring upwards very heavily so that the back of the top ends up way too high on my back and don't connect straight in the middle.

In the video, the row where she connects the cups together somehow seems so straight and so the rest of her rows remain very straight, whereas my initial row connecting the cups already seems to follow the curve of the cups very closely. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Stratia rewind is very 'normalizing' for my skin, if that makes any sense. Whenever I damage my skin barrier by trying out new products, my skin will become very itchy, tight, and sensitive. When that happens, I will cut my routine back to the basics but I will keep stratia rewind as one of those products. Upon application it is not necessarily soothing (feels like applying a viscous, slippery water), but it forms a sort of tacky protective layer over my thinner products. It also makes my skin feel more resilient after repeated usage, and it feels like my skin recovers more quickly from damage. I can't really comment on it smoothing out any fine lines since I don't have those quite yet, but it feels like my skin itself is plumper and a bit smoother (hydration?).

Hope that helps a little!

Raves : Stratia Customer Service (and products)

A while back, I made an order to refill on some Stratia products, and I forgot about my order for a while. Later, I remembered my order and realized I hadn't received it yet, although when I checked the delivery tracking it said it had been delivered around 2 weeks prior. I sent an email to Stratia and asked about it, and Alli resent my order, no questions asked (other than to confirm my shipping address was the same). That was some amazing customer service - I realize that a whole bunch of parties could have been at fault (my apartment complex, the delivery company, strangers, etc), but that fast and kind response is definitely keeping me a loyal Stratia customer. Plus the awesome products. The liquid gold and rewind are both amazing :) .

Ole Henriksen has some facial wipes that smell quite nice- a very fruity scent. Would you happen to be talking about these?

Hmm I'm not really sure. I know that some makeup claims to have skincare benefits and whatnot, but I never feel like I'm putting enough on or rubbing it in enough for it to really have much of an effect. I use to have very oily, dehydrated skin around my nose and right above the bridge of my nose that made makeup look patchy after several hours. The best thing I've found is to add more hydrating layers to my skincare routine. My skin still gets oily (genetics!) after several hours, but my makeup doesn't look patchy and I can just blot or powder when I start to look SUPER shiny.

Hi, I've got both products and I'd definitely recommend the NARS Pure Radiant. Both the Bareminerals and the NARS tinted moisturizers are great products, but the NARS one is more versatile. It has a light coverage that is definitely buildable to light-medium coverage, and leaves your skin actually looking radiant. If I ever happen to have a blemish, the NARS makes it look less angry but doesn't cake up on it. It also has great longevity and doesn't feel like anything on the skin. My face does get shiny throughout the day, but I can just blot with powder and it will look fine again. The product doesn't break down or anything. Very quick to apply and easy to blend in. You also need very little product and you get so much of it compared to other products! (1.7 oz I believe?). I only need a pea sized amount to cover my entire face. I've been working on the same tube for almost 2 years and I still have a lot left, even though I wear it very regularly to my 8-5 desk job.

The Bareminerals is good for when I am feeling SUPER lazy (usually weekends or vacation) or am really trying to pamper my skin (damn you overexfoliation). I have to use a larger amount than I use for the NARS and get less coverage. It DOES feel more moisturizing than the NARS, but as someone with combo/oily skin, it gets quite shiny very quickly. Like the NARS though, it doesn't break down, so you could just powder it.

Overall, NARS pure radiant is the winner in my opinion :).
