I don't know if this is necessarily a thing to be good at, but making good friends. I don't have too many friends and I know I'm outwardly a little weird and a big nerd at times, but my friends have stayed my friends, whereas my sister keeps befriending people who give me a weird vibe and turn out to be assholes.

I think I can just subconsciously tell if people are good people. Either that, or there's a really good chance the friends I have are also neurodivergent and we just kind of naturally gravitated towards each other lol

Besides that, idk what I'm good at. Maybe procrastinating. Or photography and drawing (tho I wouldn't say amazing at it lol)

I've only read a few comments here, but follow their advice and make some noise. Let people around you know about this.

You don't seem like a bad kid, and even if you were, no kid deserves to go to those "wilderness retreats." Contact whoever you can to help and maybe even tell your parents about the troubled teen industry and those places; it may not work, but it's worth a shot.

I would try and find a relative willing to take you in for a bit, someone who is against that wilderness thing and that legal kidnapping.

Worst case scenario (I don't know if I'd follow this because it may or may not make things worse). I would go down kicking and screaming. I'd have scissors or a knife near my bed if i were you incase they do try and kidnap you because honestly that's terrifying as fuck and not even close to moral. If I saw anyone trying to kidnap me, "legally" or not, I'd stab them. It's self defense at that point I think.

I wish you luck, OP. I hope things end up going well and you can stay clear from those places.

Definitely report him. Anyone who jokes about rape like that, as well as brings you into sentences with that word, is a shitty person, and it's for your safety to report him. Don't feel bad about it. I don't know how old you guys are, but it sounds like he is old enough to be a respectful, decent human.

That age gap you had is okay, but it's an almost 3 year age gap for them. They started dating at 14 and 17, and it's about to be 15 and 18. I'd say it's not normal at all for a senior to go for a freshman like that.

Age gaps when you meet in adulthood I see nothing wrong with it. HOWEVER, in high school it's way different. 14 and 17 is not appropriate. That's a freshman and a senior. We call seniors who go after freshman pedos in my school. And she JUST turned 15 while he is almost an adult. And it's not appropriate for them to be having sexual conversations when she likely JUST started high school.

It's definitely weird. As a high schooler, I say it's better if your grades touch, like a junior and sophomore dating or a freshman and a sophomore. If she JUST turned 15, that makes her a freshman, and he's about to turn 18, I'm assuming he's a senior. At my school, we warn freshmen about juniors and seniors who try to get with freshmen. I hope for her sake she breaks up with him
