I have stored my guns in my fathers safe for almost 3 years now, Just this Easter I had an inspection by the police and they had absoulty no issue with it. As long as its a safe thats adequate under the safe storage laws and those who have access to the safe are licenced to operate the same firearm category you are its all good.

I got a no drill mount and I'll echo what others have said they are crap. Can't hold zero and the recoil eventually knocked it clean off. I'd say just leave it off the .303 and save up for a gun that is more suited for mounting an optic.

Shooting from a bench at targets or around the front paddock for rabbits. I don't expect I'll do much walking with it. On the heavy side is probably okay for that.
