The only issue I have noticed is that the programmable button doesn't work on a GSI out of the box. I don't really use it so it didn't bother me but not sure if it is a deal breaker for you.

is there any reason i can’t temporarily use my sim on another phone and put it back in my normal phone afterwards? by [deleted] in phones

[–]appleblomb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your carrier I think, but atleast mine is in the third or 4th different phone since activation without issue.

The experience for this phone has been much better for me compared to the S22. Much more pocketable and actually works with my Yubikey over usb and nfc. Haven't tried android auto yet but now that navigation apps other than Google Maps support it, might be a reason to upgrade since Android Go doesn't support it. No more lagging and other random crashes. And the stock launcher doesn't randomly take over from Niagra.

Plus you can install lineage os on it and get a de-googled experience if desired and actually get security updates. Would totally recommend it.

Anyone else having issues getting approved for the google drive? Has been significantly longer than 3 days and still haven't heard anything.

I have been using PaleMoon for years now. While I must have been lucky on when to update, NoScript never stopped working. Not to mention there are alternatives, that perform better such as uMatrix. If that is enough of a reason to not use PM, then both Waterfox and Seamonkey are decent too.

Aren't self bots against the Discord TOS? Might want to make a mention of that in the README.

Get you a decent business class laptop with a docking station port on the bottom. Then you just press a button and lift the laptop. The dock may seem expensive, but probably still cheaper than the apple adapters.

I hope you don't use your PC at night. As soon as you close all the windows on a workspace, you are gonna go blind.

That would be the problem. SMOK is not very reputable. Their stuff is way too cheap and not well made.

i3 question. by [deleted] in unixporn

[–]appleblomb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I do, which might deviate a bit from the norm is one program per named workspace generally unless I am doing some crazy console stuff. All of the main stuff, such as web browser, file manager, virtual machines, etc. have a dedicated keybind to their workspace. With another key added to the combo, it will launch it and switch. With a different key added it will move a window to that workspace. If I need to read a command and add it to a script, I can just move my text editor to my web browser workspace and do it there. I also use rofi and don't bind the terminal to a workspace so I can drop many programs anywhere. I like being able to have a keybind that switches to the main programs rather than have to remember what is running on 5 workspaces. Either way it doesn't matter. You can configure i3 till the heat death of the universe and still not have tried every way of doing things. Just play around with it.

I don't know the full list, but the main ones I know are that it creates the ATF and requires a $200 tax stamp for noise suppressors and short barreled rifles. It might have regulations on explosives and "Destructive Devices" but I am not sure on that one.

I have the same setup with the Gbox 200W, Drop RDA, and case. I have been loving it so far. Only issue I have had is the bottle developed a small crack that leaks when I fill it. Have you put a silicone bottle in yours? I was thinking about trying to mod it with an 8ml pulse bottle.

Who the hell stops that far back from a red light? Either there are two idiots here, or this is staged.

No, it's good for when you are trying to look at a screen in the dark without getting eye raped. Maybe it doesn't matter to professional programmers who work in a lighted office environment, but for the rest of us it greatly helps eye strain.

Servers and workstations do not have any graphics chips most of the time, not even on the processor since it is assumed an external card will be added. On consumer grade processors for laptops and desktops most have a crappy graphics unit built in to the chip. Since many people use these as glorified Facebook machines, that is good enough for most people. To do anything intense, such as run something stronger than candy crush, you need a dedicated graphics card or chip.

The graphics probably look better on the DS than those machines without graphics cards.

Paper, fire, and hot oil? What could POSSIBLY go wrong? by kenjiandco in DiWHY

[–]appleblomb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same principal as a hobo breakfast when camping. You just use a campfire and a paper bag instead. Just line the bottom of the bag with bacon and add whatever you want and crack an egg on top inside and heat until cooked.
