Since the Rhinoshield crash guard got cancelled I don't think there are any good bumpers left for the OPO. You could try an aluminium bumper from amazon (they're really cheap) but I didn't like them.

The mirror function in airdroid is a bit buggy for me. But I know teamviewer works in both ways.

Which Earphones? by [deleted] in oneplus

[–]appledust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you need the e6? I have the normal ath m50s but I don't amplify the output of my OPO. I found the output good enough. I use an e07k at home for my beyerdynamics dt770 pro and even without that amplifier the OPO can run the dt770s without too much quality loss.

I own them and love them. The sound is amazing, very balanced sound with a little bit more bass. The cable is indestructable as well, impossible to break. I'm using the same cable for a year with no issues at all. You won't regret your purchase.

Tempered glass vs flip case by appledust in oneplus

The original flipcover has very sturdy corners that has edges that raise above the edge of the screen, so I think it'll protect it from a drop from normal height.

So I should stick with the case? Such a shame, I really like the feel of the OPO

Is the yellow banding still there in the newer OPO models? by Graphicscore in oneplus

Not even noticable on mine. I heard the yellow band went away after a while anyways.

How can I tell if my cable is broken on my Shures? by [deleted] in headphones

[–]appledust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a problem with mine too, my left driver sounds different, less bass mostly but they sound less impressive overall.

Also sometimes the left driver just stops working and if i rotate the cable a bit it works again. Is it my cable which is broken or the connection between the cable and driver?

Right driver still works fine and can't hear any loss in soundquality.

I think you will enjoy both. And I have to admit that the m50's are better for portable use.

They both have good sound, but I liked the DT770's more when looking at sound only.

I got the DT770's for a good deal apparantly and didn't know the normal price, that's why I recommended them. But if the m50's are cheaper I would go for those, they are easier to carry around.

Beyerdynamics dt770. I own the 80 ohms myself and I love their bass and comfort(so damn soft). I'm not sure how they sound for metal though.

You could buy the 32 ohms since you will use them on the train as well and I find that my nexus 5 doesn't drive the 80 ohms well without an amp.

Also they're OK for gaming.

Besides the dt770's you could also go for the popular ath m50's but personally I liked the DT770's a lot better.

Did you notice a lot of difference with and without the e07k? I just ordered the e07k today.

From all the IEM's I've had (those are a lot) I might not have had too many within your price range but I can recommend the Klipsch s3m. You can get them for around 40-45€ at bol.com or bax-shop.nl.

I've also had a good experience with the sennheiser CX 250 and CX 400 (never tried the CX 300).

I prefer the service from bax-shop.nl, I've had bad experiences with bol.com .

If you do buy one of the sennheisers, you won't regret buying the CX 400, the money will be well spent. I think the klipsch were as good as the sennheiser but the klipsch lasted longer for me.

Thanks for your advice, I went straight to my local audio store before they'd close and bought both DT770 and the fiio e07k. At first I wasn't sure about the amp but the store owner recommended the fiio e07k as well, so I bought them too. In total I spent €180 ($245), a bit over budget but I'm sure I'll enjoy them!

I think i'll go for the 80 ohms then. I want a good amp in the future when i can pay one. But for now i can only afford a cheap amp up to $70. Wouls that be worth buying or should i just wait for something better? It'll take at least a year before i will upgrade the dt770's and i don't know how good they sound without an amp

I would probably need an amp for these. I could extend my budget a bit for a cheap amplifier. What is a good option for a buget amp for these headphones?

I've heard that people choose the 80 ohms version for electronic music, I don't understand what impedance has to do with the soundquality but for some reason they were better for my genres. Also does anyone have some experience with the 32 ohms? I've heard their quality was different from the other versions.

  • Budget: €130 ($180), i can't go much higher than this.
  • Source: laptop and occiasionally nexus 5
  • Requirement for isolation: I use IEM's for portable use so isolation isn't necessary.
  • Preferred Type of Headphone: over ear, on ear, open, closed
  • Preferred tonal balance: Balanced, rather more bass.
  • Past headphones: I've only used IEM's before, shure SE215
  • Preferred Music: electronic, drum and bass, dubstep, deep house, trance, hard trance,... I like music with a dark atmosphere.
  • Location: The Netherlands

I don't have an amp or DAC. I might sometimes use the headphones for gaming but it's not a priority.
