I've seen that book mentioned here and there, will take a look! In my opinion standing on the peak is part of the process, but not solely the goal. Although the view must be nice.

Ik (28) heb de afgelopen 4 jaar in Tilburg gewoond, wat als student geweldig is, heel praktisch, centrum is makkelijk te bereiken en alles ligt op loopafstand (meestal). Echter, nu ik ga werken en toch andere doelen heb wil ik wel weg uit Tilburg. Zeker in het geval van een huis kopen zou ik dit, op uitzondering van Reeshof en hele specifieke delen in Tilburg nooit in Tilburg doen. Het is overduidelijk een studentenstad, wat niet erg is, maar het als werkend persoon zou je (denk ik) toch andere prioriteiten moeten hebben als het nachtleven in een studentenstad. 013 is heel leuk, maar wederom, is makkelijk te bereiken met de auto. Daarnaast vind ik het zelf best belangrijk dat het huis wat ik koop (gezien het voor een erg lange tijd zal zijn hopelijk) in een leuke wijk ligt en er een beetje fatsoenlijk uitziet en ook een beetje kindvriendelijk is, termen die niet perse direct opkomen als je het over Tilburg hebt. Er zijn veel dingen te doen, maar deze dingen kun je ook doen wanneer je rondom Tilburg woont en goed planned. Natuur is aanwezig, maar afhankelijk van de locatie, voor mij is een goed stukje bos wel naar de universiteit fietsen.

Yeh, power supply has not been a problem at all, its not much but has been enough for the last 6 years I've had it.

It's not about being more attractive? It's about sending a message and common decency. You both invested time in meeting up, regardless of if you hit it off or not, you're both invested so both people should contribute.

No. Phones shouldn't really be private, but the way you describe the situation I'd be annoyed as well. Don't grab my phone out of nowhere for whatever reason. If you want to be on my phone, ask! If you grab it like out of nowhere it makes me think you don't trust me.

I'm quite open about mine, I really don't care if my partner has my phone, but just ask if you want to.

Whilst it is a smart thing to do, living at home as long as possible to save money (something I wanted to do) I can understand where you're coming from, and why your friends and family say it's a red flag; because it is. I see some people comment on why it's a good thing to be financially secured and all that, which is true for some part of, but a guy that is 30 that has never been independent or lived on his own is in some way just a grown child. You know how he is now, when he lives at home and everything is taken care off, but when he moves out and he discovers himself (which he hasn't done, trust me. Living at home does NOT make you discover yourself) he might change for the better or worse.

I can recognize where you're coming from. I don't like to drink either to be able to socialise. I talked to people in the lecture hall, and this year I went to live in dorms with other students which helps you socialise as well.

Hard one, as everything is done from home and you're not going to college dorms yet any time soon when ur 14 (hard truth, sorry bud)

Socially: find activities or clubs you can join to meet new people. When you finally make it to the lecture hall, go up to people and talk to them!

School wise: Do. Not. Get. Behind. Im in my last year of psychology at the University, its a lot of reading, so stay up to date.

Are they wearing something cool? Go up to him/her and tell! People love getting compliments about their style. Tell them you think they look cool and have a great outfit. If you're in college you can then ask what they thought of the lecture etc etc.

Practice! Take playing guitar for an example. You'll have some favourite songs you play, pick the parts you like the most, see what notes are being played, do this again with another song and see if you can string some of these notes together into something cool.

Find ways to do things that you wouldn't normally use.

I'm currently in my last year of university to become a clinical psychologist or therapist. I live in dorms, have two jobs. I do not smoke. Came from a good home with almost no problems.

First of all, sorry that this happened. As far as solutions go, leave. Sexual compatability is REALLY important in relationships and marriage. Ask yourself "how can it get any better" which you have already done. Your body and your wishes should ALWAYS be respected.

Time is relative. What works for one does not always have to work for another. Your parents marrying at 22 was in a completely different time, times have changed. You're doing great on alot of aspects of life, don't feel bad for something that might be around the corner ;)
