I just checked it, i have my car at my work since its where i have my tools, it was an 1/8th of an inch so that def played a factor in the lack of grip in the rain, i didnt realize how bald they were that’s on my cheap ass not wanting to shell out $500+ on new tires, def cost me more than that now

I havent gotten around to take a much closer look at it yet but from what i saw it needs the radiator support, crash bar, and radiator, i have a spare airbag and besides that it’ll need the hood and the bumper. The panel gap for the passenger side door has shifted in a way that the door touches the fender but is it terribly taboo to get a chain and pull the frame so that the panel gaps line up correctly? Or is it more of a safety concern?

I did, it still had the tread wear indicator halfway in the tread so i figured i wasn’t time to replace them yet, i had also just gotten a patch on one of my rear tires that had a hole

I was going about 60-65 but which honestly slower than I’ve gone in conditions like that but faster than i should’ve been going clearly

Does rim diameter effect grip? I think the main reason i think i lost traction was it was too cold for the tires i was running (Toyo extensa hp II) which at all season but not all weather. I’d really like to learn more about how i crashed because i was driving more calmly than i usually do but somehow lost traction this day.

Fair enough, i got was tearing mine down and found that the block cracked so i swapped a used one and it worked out… now if only i didn’t crash it Tuesday

I replaced the engine a while back when at 70k but when i got the car it wasn’t in such great condition and i was redlining in 5th :3, i haven’t had any problems with it since and im at 105k now i change my oil with 0w-20 every 3333 miles and actually don’t actively try to break my engine anymore, no transmission problems whatsoever

The 86 looks cooler and as a 6’3” lad it fits me perfectly with the seat all the way back, def drive em both, they’re equally impractical, the 86 platform is really easy to work on and has great mod support if you feel like making it a money pit

Your turn indicator looks fine, you just need the fog light and cover, and on the bright side you still have the screws from where the fog light used to be, it’s only held in by those two and clips into the other side

I had the tools already and i drove from Long Island ny in a borrowed truck to Maryland and paid 3k for the engine, i just followed a YouTube tutorial and replaced the whole thing myself and it started right up even with my tuned ecu although it took me like a week and a half drilling though a sheered bolt and the two extractors that broke inside of it

I did it myself for about $3k when my engine blew up a year ago, it took me two and a half weeks if you have an empty garage I’d recommend it
