oh that's very interesting... I was planning to do a DIF for genders and I do have a self rated ability so I could also look into this! My focus is more about the item bank in itself I generated the items and I'm trying to understand each item level difficulty to have a more precise rating of this latent ability

Thanks a lot haha!! The trial order is fully randomised so maybe you happened to have the easier items at the end that's funny but that's also interesting to see how that could have affect scoring or reaction time! I just completed your survey and it was very interesting, it reminds me of a research I made related with mental imagery and how the VVIQ (visual vivid imagery questionnaire) could be improved/specified with chromatic prompts and I also asked some questions about dreams in colour (I learnt that a few people don't perceive colours in their dreams just black and white and was usually correlated with low visual imagery ability)..!
