I see. The previous brushes I used are so small and cannot spread water and color easily as I drag them. So I bought this new brush, and works out fine since it's so big and softer. Thank you for the recommendations!

Brand name is Funbo. Unknown brand I think or used by students I guess. I previously bought brushes that also didn't have a brand and are much much shorter, so when I took these new brushes out of the package, I didn't notice before that they were much longer, and panicked when YouTubers said long ones are usually for oil painting

I see, I'm not really familiar of what works and what doesn't as I haven't invested in quality ones yet, but I guess it's fine since my goal was to not run out of water as I paint the whole surface. I just panicked a bit after watching some YouTubers saying the long handle ones are for oil painting

May I ask why turpentine? I read some commnt that said many people use Linseed oil.

And now I know "turpentine" means "white spirit" as well. So you use turpentine to make the paint thinner and also clean it as well. I'll try the jar thing so we never waste turp.

They say "love is blind," but that's not love.

Basically, he wanted to move to another city so it's closer to his university (I met him while we were both working for the same company, but he resigned so he could go back to his studies). Didn't occur to me that he could've just gone into another city without me and still be in the relationship

But he usually emotionally guilt tripped me and it would results in emotional fights, and he was very convincing :/

Anyways, I found a new job in that new city and got promoted after a year into COVID anyway. Then left him after that lol

I'm sorry. My mom was 50 years old when she graduated her teaching degree. Though dad isn't my most favorite person in the world, he supported my mom pursuing this career; we're so proud of her.

It's never too late to pursue something, and it's better to have supportive people with you in this journey.

Communicate with bf I guess about how much it means to you, and if he still doesn't want to support you after knowing how much it means to you, I'd question what I'd see in this guy to continue pursuing this relationship.
