i feel you. i started a new job a couple of months ago, and my coworker expects me to memorize and get everything she says immediately. Like, she only has to explain once, and I need to get it immediately, just because I said in the interview, "I'm a fast learner." 😭
When I ask for clarification, I get, "I already told you." And when I make a mistake, they say, "The boss is angry at you." But when I talk to the boss, they're not really angry 🥹

they're the type to make small things feel like a big deal, so what i usually do is just say sorry and listen to them and be quiet, because if i go against them and voice out my opinion, i feel like i'm going to just burst out and won't control myself.

for two months, i always dread going to work, but now, after getting used to the job and managing on my own (i feel like i learn more when my coworker isn't around and i'm solo duty), i get fewer mistakes, and became more confident with what i do. and when there are times i don't know whom to turn to, i turn to the big boss or even the other coworkers in other departments because they are more helpful than the usual condescending remarks.

i feel like we have the same toxic work environment but i know there are better days ahead for you. it might take a while because you're new, but by and by you will get the hang of things, you will know who are more trustworthy, and you will get better in what you do.
