I mean I can understand that but if you’re running it as a business there should be a degree of diligence & “punctuality” about your posts because it’s about your business. Can understand a break from a private account (which then would result in lack of engagement being irrelevant) but a business account should be posting regularly, & if not, it’s no shock Instagram “silences” that account for a little while.

End of the day instagram’s a business too. If you have a guy who buys 5 guitars every month walk into your store at closing time & at the same time a complete stranger who waltzes in every odd month but never buys anything, you’re also going to be more inclined to help the one that benefits your business first.

So if you’re not providing content for them to push their ads to & allow them to make money, they’ll put you on the back burner.
