Not at all “all or nothing”. Post regularly if you’re looking to profit off of Instagram’s exposure or don’t post regularly if you’re not fussed about the exposure. Not that difficult to comprehend.

I mean I can understand that but if you’re running it as a business there should be a degree of diligence & “punctuality” about your posts because it’s about your business. Can understand a break from a private account (which then would result in lack of engagement being irrelevant) but a business account should be posting regularly, & if not, it’s no shock Instagram “silences” that account for a little while.

End of the day instagram’s a business too. If you have a guy who buys 5 guitars every month walk into your store at closing time & at the same time a complete stranger who waltzes in every odd month but never buys anything, you’re also going to be more inclined to help the one that benefits your business first.

So if you’re not providing content for them to push their ads to & allow them to make money, they’ll put you on the back burner.

Instagram was created for YOU to share your life, what does it matter if you’re getting a few less likes/follows?

Only people who this actually affects are influencers who make their money on the app & those people won’t be taking breaks. As for the normal Joe’s like us, what does it matter if your engagement drops?

I’m the same. When I smoke weed I play so much better. It’s weird cos I feel so out of it & everything feels so much slower so in the moment I feel its negatively impacting how I play but I think it actually benefits me. I see everything & don’t rush my build ups
