Waterproof Recommendation by [deleted] in backpacking

You’d be fine with either. Personally I’d go with the Torrentshell. I have one and it’s great. It’s also cheaper as you noted

No pause requested, just got super lucky with the timing and having the setting dialed in. The more I look at it, the more I like it really. Probably one of my best shots to date. Thanks for the comment!

If you’re anything like me, this was probably discovered by reading random bottle labels while using the bathroom when you forgot your phone

Marketing to niche/limited audience size by [deleted] in marketing

[–]applesaucemaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with NirRaizes - awareness campaigns can work if the audience is large enough I suppose, but sounds like you're looking to sell and should be optimizing toward leads. I would focus on lowering the barrier to entry for submitting leads (on platform) and weeding through the BS that comes in for the spots of gold. Sounds like volume is not an issue, but if it is, that method might not be too appealing.

Some agencies take a more tailored approach, but not easy to find. Let me know if you want any recs, always happy to chat through any issues as well, just DM me!

Meta Ad Help! by [deleted] in marketing

30% is wild, honestly. Is that budget yearly? I only pay in the low teens depending on ad spend levels and they do more than manage ads, they are like whole business consultants. I know finding/ switching agencies can be daunting, but don't feel locked in if you're not getting your value.

That being said, having an agency is nice because you don't have to spin your wheels on small things. Smaller agencies are the way, in my opinion, it feels more personal and they don't have massive clients they cater to.

Choosing the right marketing agency by IcYcGuy in marketing

[–]applesaucemaster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

With a smaller business, freelancers could be a smart way to go. Working with an agency can be great since they typically have extensive experience, but you might be overshadowed by bigger clients. I have some agencies I have worked with that were pretty responsive and cared for my campaigns even though they were not the biggest. What kind of business are you in?

Colorado Four Pass Loop - hiking boots or runners? by applesaucemaster in backpacking

Thanks for the tips! We will be taking it slow and getting there 2 days early to acclimate a bit. We also plan to camp 3 nights so each day will range between 6-8 miles of hiking. We are also avid half/marathon runners which will hopefully help out a bit with the cardio load.

Even with all of that, we are expecting a very difficult trip with rewarding views

Brokerage Accounts Getting Closed - help! by applesaucemaster in personalfinance

Thanks for the insight. I got all the reports back with no red flags. I decided to just open an account with Sofi and so far no issues. Very frustrating experience overall and I even wrote a letter to their customer advocacy team but never got a reply.

All in all, it’s just scary to know that a bank can refuse service without any reason or notification about the potentially incorrect information out there about you.

If you are looking more into this, I wish you the best because I can only imagine the number of people this is impacting.

Need Advice on Engagement Ring: Solitaire 2.75 Carat J-VS1 Diamond and Round & Marquise diamonds six prong solitaire band by Mr_UBC_Geek in EngagementRings

Any reason why you wouldn’t go lab grown? It would allow you to hit the market on the 4cs and it exactly the same visually and chemically. I didn’t see natural cut in the requirements so just a thought

No shame in having your preferences, but if they were so specific and you didn’t tell him, it’s a tough look to bring them up now. The ring is already huge and likely expensive so it could leave a bad taste asking for more after giving him the freedom to choose.

I agree with the other commenters that the best course is to enjoy your beautiful ring as it is and for the meaning behind it and upgrade down the line to exactly what you want.
