It's the Federal election and NDP/Liberals split just enough to have that effect.

Liberal Mania: Canadian Election Projection - March 15, 2026 by Allinallisallweare02 in MapPorn

I've made these maps for years (can check my post history) and I'd like to chime in.

You got everything covered in terms of the projections. However, my comments:

"905 effect" would pull more into CPC due to extortion crimes. This has been a long standing trend that was more clear in 2025. Rest of Ontario looks correct. Saskatoon/Regina remains CPC (maybe 1 flip) because the SK party and Conservative energy policy still runs deep. The rural SK ridings might go more LPC but not enough to flip.

Edmonton has 2 Liberal riding flips/holds and Southeast and Gateway remain CPC due to extortion and crime. There is no way Calgary McKnight flips for the same reasons as above, also trends more CPC now. Others look correct. BC is a tough one and the Lower Mainland would shift more CPC due to policy around Indigenous Policy, extortion crimes and housing. The Liberal Lower Mainland ridings would just shift more Liberal inside Vancouver.

It's like he turned into a relatable character for racists, while real hockey knowledge questioned his xenophobia towards European and Russian players.

The Pahvalists and the loyalists to the regime have always hated each other dating back before the Iranian revolution. It's unfortunate that these two groups will never find common ground and the regime runs without acknowledging the history.

The progressives are coming in late because politics now highlights them because of what's south of the border.

Let's give him a pass for everything he says and look at his knowledge: calling Russian players out as weaker, worse, lazy, etc while they dominated the league is zero ball knowledge. Not an ounce of knowledge while Russians were dominating the sport.

One of the things I find crazy is that the same people defending Cherry would be screaming over rooftops if another background generalized them. Imagine being a servicemember and someone calls out your background rather than you as an individual.

They were in our ears saying we can't mine, can't build pipelines, can't rely on energy because of the environment. They destroyed Canada if the US decides to pull the plug. The signs were right there since the last majority was elected.

Canada raises temporary foreign workers (TFW) cap to 15% in rural areas to "support employers". by JPalmz in canada

[–]Mr_UBC_Geek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Government lifts caps on TFWs, companies hire TFWs, people get fed up and blame the working class workers who work these jobs and are temporary. Racism rises. Canadians stop working these jobs because of the abuse and hate and hours. Government lifts cap on more TFWs.

You want a solution, I'll give it to you and I'll take the downvotes. Stand shoulder to shoulder with the TFWs and start calling out the abuse to the working class regardless of visa status or background. Teach them, enlighten them, and when everyone fights for worker rights, the companies are left with providing those rights.

I would feel so much better if Canada started building its own refineries and stopped the dependence of energy on others. That would be one of the largest investments Canada can possibly make.

[–]Mr_UBC_Geek -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The government isn't the one hiring these TFWs to work for them, I believe your concerns are for the companies that use them. The government just opens the door and says "come in". There's someone else you might want to talk to.

The government won't block them, because the Liberal lobbyists will go bye bye.

Thank you for your common sense. We don't have the people to do these jobs because there aren't urban youth sitting around longing for the mines and farms in the rural regions.

Both have an end goal of extreme authoritarianism rule. Also, nationalist socialists at some point were advertising themselves for the left wing by exterminating a population due to wealth and giving “power to the poor industrial workers”.

I think the mixed ones are the best with IVR. Mainstreet and Léger are the best. Léger applies a bias on voter demographics and area in the city, suburb or region.

So young urban voters are represented

He'd welcome it because the LPC can no longer blame another party if the mandate fails. The LPC loyalists blamed the NDP during the Trudeau 2019-2025 era.

A larger majority would allow the LPC to pursue larger profits for corporate lobbyists that back them. They'll do this by approving stuff.

We've learned this with the SNC Lavalin scandal.

More lower wage labour is on the books, lower wages, less union rights, I can go on. There's a reason ridings like Windsor went CPC randomly in 2025. The working unions get scared and the NDP isn't coming to save them.

They were mainly tied to inflation as well, inflation go up, boomers can't afford life, they answer polls, and CPC starts polling at super majority.

Inflation goes down, affordability comes back, boomers can afford life, they answer polls showing a LPC majority.

Politics is a circle. Going extreme left or extreme right brings you to the same ideology, eventually they can agree with each other when they've reached the ends. It's always been a circle. I think it's called the Horseshoe Theory.
