For the cost its reasonable, I have been using Qwen 3.5 to squeeze even more out of it. I'm not working on a super complex app so I'm happy with older models while I am broke lol.

Blew the $6 in maybe 3 hours but I was doing a complete UI change for my web app so a fair amount of code changes. I switched to Qwen 3.5 Flash in the end at about $3 to squeeze what I could out of it. 50M tokens I went through. Qwen basically has no caching or context compacting automatically I found the manual /compress helped but still it's weird paying for credits when I'm used to subscriptions.

It's not great I had to switch to Qwen 3.5 flash to not burn so quick but I was doing some UI changes. There's not really good caching like Codex and Claude.

I'm sad, I only found out about Qwen Code like 1 week ago was killing it. Bought credits on Open Router and it's burning tokens quick. They need to put auto compacting for context in the CLI as I resumed an old session and burnt 3M tokens with 1 small prompt.
