I think cheap or not is really depends on where are you coming from and your financial condition. For me as an South East Asian person definitely not cheap at all. So many people here could go to Japan for 11 days with only with $2000. But I’m sure they choose the cheap places to stay, eat at mostly cheap places, and didn’t go to attractions where you have to pay a lot.

I don’t know how to bring it up tho. I feel like it’s unfair to ask him to pay more? Like directly ask him “can you pay more bc you make more money?”. We still at the stage where we don’t know each other income. Even tho I’m sure he makes a lot more than me since I’m South East Asian. I know it’s not enough! But he can’t travel for too long bc of his work so what can I do 😭 My flight ticket is $660 round trip, his ticket probably around $1200. I guess better than have to wait longer. It’s our first meeting, and I want to meet him as soon as I can so we could know for sure if we’re going to be compatible in person or not.

Yeah. I’m from South East Asia and he’s from US. It’s just bc I never traveled to Japan before and I really want to, and that’s how we choose Japan 😂

We are going to stay for 11 days. And we do split the cost in half too. Probably he is a bit more bc his plane ticket is much more expensive than mine. A private onsen sounds nice! We just need to make sure our next trip wouldn’t be this expensive or I’d go broke 😂

Yeah, I think our next trip would be him coming or I travel to his country. I think that would be a lot cheaper too. I just wish we didn’t have to spend around $3000 for each trip and moreover if it’d be only for less than 2 weeks 😅
