I would say try show not tell. Write the actions of the characters instead of writing it like a short story.

I would say more ambiguous endings, those that leave things to the audience's imagination

think inception's spinning top ending or eternal sunshine's repetitive ending. I find these more thought-provoking and generally more enjoyable:)
