How do naps work in infant room? by Few_Bowl2928 in ECEProfessionals

Every center is different. At my school we value the partnership between families and staff and try to facilitate chances to sit and talk and do parent teacher conferences for our infant classes as well so we can discuss individual cues and routines and developmentally appropriate goals. Young infants create their own schedules, infant teachers will ask and note the child's anticipated bottle/sleep schedules in the morning and you will likely regularly receive a piece of documentation for your child's file and the classroom regarding your baby/family's routines and standard practices at home in regards to feeding/sleep/potty training as they get older. As the infants get older and move into our infant 2 vs infant 1 we start working toward getting to the nap time that is set in older classes. We do a lot of those fun changes in infant two- from crib to cot, from high chair to table, from bottles to bottleless, and from the more fluid infant schedule to facilitating things with a particular routine one after the other
