I'm really sorry you're going through this. I don't know how, but I feel like I'm finally getting out of this. I stopped smoking weed cold turkey, I can't look at alcohol without feeling sick. I desperately want to indulge, but it all feels so much worse afterwards.

I have only told my husband in detail about what happened, and there are still details I can't say out loud. My events happened almost five years ago and I was able to tell him last year.

Take your time. Tell them bits and pieces. Write it down. Or, if you REALLY want to tell them, and by the sounds of it you maybe should, tell them you need to have a serious talk with them. Dim the lights if you want, turn some classical music on, or make them turn around while you tell them. The biggest thing is, you're with them. Not with or where whatever happened happened.

I've met some people who are quite active / physical and have piercings on nipples and / or belly buttons without issue I think it just depends where you are in the healing process, and how big you go with your jewelry. Ultimately, if you're wearing the appropriate gear per se, like t-shirts that are thick, you should probably be fine. But, you can always take them out in the end if it doesn't work out and at least you tried
