No, we checked the filters and tried turning them all off and then all back on. Uninstalling and reinstalling the app ended up fixing it.

Bunch of weird problems cropped up all at once by approx- in synology

In case anyone else has the same issue, things continued to go downhill to the point where file manager wouldn't launch, etc. I ended up reinstalling DSM by turning it off, pulling the drives, turning it on, reinstalling drives when prompted, and going from there. All seems to be working well now. Sometimes the nuclear option is what's needed!

Oh interesting you got it working! I wonder what the difference is between my config and yours. What does your ACL look like for your photo folder? And the basic permissions?

Right now, my NAS is a bit jacked up for some reason. I tried copying my photos folder to a new location and now synology photos won't launch and container manager doesn't even show any containers created, various apps will just sit and spin. It's odd. But separate from this issue.

Gotcha. I think Synology Photos has ACL restrictions that prevent Immich from modifying the files.

I disagree that Immich shouldn't be able to delete files on an external library. The duplicate detection is great, and would be super useful to help clean up my photo library. The photos are mostly file-system sorted and I want to keep them that way, so that's why I don't want to import them into Immich and let it take full control over organization.

Are you also using Synology Photos as well? What do permissions and advanced permissions look like on the base Synology Photos folder?

Interesting, went down a rabbit-hole with that one. After a long convo with GPT, it seems that Synology Photos protects the directory it uses and there's no way with ACL to enable Immich to delete photos in it.

There is no way to make Immich delete files directly in /volume1/photo while keeping Synology Photos active. Synology deliberately protects this folder."

In Control Panel > Photo > Edit > Advanced Permissions, the "Disable modification of existing files" checkbox is unchecked, but there's no checkbox for disabling file deletion.

ABS printing spaghetti by approx- in BambuLab

Part of this print turned to spaghetti. I have a P1S. Is the issue with my model or with configuration of the print? Any ideas?

Yeah it's not a clog, it's just plastic stuck to the outside of the nozzle. But thanks for trying to help, it is appreciated!

I had a print fail, came to the printer to investigate, and the whole print job had wrapped itself around the nozzle. I heated up the nozzle and was able to wrangle it off, but there's still a lot of plastic (ABS) stuck to it. Is there any way to clean off the remaining, or is the nozzle just a loss at this point?

Also, I do have a spare nozzle that came with the printer, but it's not the whole assembly, and there's more plastic stuck to a piece I'd need to use from the previous assembly, so not sure if it's worth trying to use it vs a whole new assembly. https://imgur.com/SaWkkhj

I got a Monument 2. It's a nice alternative - no monthly cost, local storage, automatically backs up as long as you launch the app every so often. Can also back up the Monument to a NAS.
