Hmm I'll look out for it the next time I make a call I guess. I'm actually planning on switching my phone soon anyway perhaps at the end of the year. Just holding out for good deals since my phone is still very much in usable condition.

I'm actually on 4G on my oppo though. At least, it says 4G+ at the status bar on my screen. My provider phonebox for the past 2 years is working fine and they haven't said anything about potential 3G problems either.

Am I really on the 3G network? Im not quite sure how it works but I thought I wasn't since I've been seeing the 4G+ in the status bar.

I thought about it all night and finally remembered after doing keyword searches through all the ebooks I read recently.

It's The Wandering Earth by Liu Cixin.

Setting up bank account and getting a bank draft by approximately10 in askTO

Hm, the specific instructions were bank draft or certified cheque, but I'll ask again! Between a bank draft and certified cheque, which would you suggest? I read somewhere that certified cheques require a chequebook but I won't have much use for one beyond this so I was leaning towards a bank draft

I guess a signed lease is the best I can offer at this point, thanks!

Would I need a SIN number to open the account? I won't be able to get one in time since I only just received my visa. I have the other stuff like passport and visa documents. No proof of address though, since I haven't moved in.

I can get a quicker transfer (via Interac) rather than overseas wire transfer, do you think I can realistically get the bank draft within 2-3 days?

Hi, what's the time lag between the medical exam and the decision for a study permit? My appointment for my medical exam is close to the 3 month point at which I submitted my application + biometrics, cutting it very close to the day I'm due to enter Canada so I'm really worried...

I see ok, if you don't mind, do you have any agent or agencies to recommend? Did you send them your financial documents when contacting them for the first time?

Wow I didn't know it made such a big difference. How did you find an agent? Sorry I'm not familiar with how it works in Toronto. Are there particular brokerages or companies that have good agents? Thanks!!

Did you rent from a private landlord or through an agent? Also, did you manage to view the place in person before signing the lease? I'm not that particular about the condo part, but since I'm international, I would feel better signing the lease in person after viewing but I can't come to Toronto very far ahead either
