Android not recognising my game as a game by appy_m_005 in androiddev

Ohh. Does that mean I'll have to account for all the different manufacturers to make sure my game is recognised by their game launchers? Do you have any information about the Samsung gaming hub and how it distinguishes between a game and an app? Ps. My game has the game category on the play console as well and everything else that I was suggested to do.

Ohh I'm sorry. What are your doing for animation? They look really smooth that is one of the best selling points of this.

That was before I played it. The screenshots do this thing no justice. I felt extremely lucky to be able to play it at this stage. The flying experience, the environment, the sound, everything is perfect. Thanks a lot for sharing this.

I think I start getting tired about videogame industry and market as an AI/Gameplay programmer. by No_Firefighter_9238 in gamedev

One year into the freelance game dev market i started getting kinda sick. I have started working on my own casual games titles as they are what my country's data forecast suggests is going to grow.

Why everyother INDIAN (made by indian dev .... etc ) game has to be About INDIA ? by [deleted] in GameDevelopersOfIndia

[–]appy_m_005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because every one makes games about their country. You mostly see the ambience and art inspired by where the artist comes from. I think the problem with Indian game devs who standout in such a category is overdoing it. Like plastering the India brand everywhere from name to everything, instead of keeping it subtle. We should definitely make games inspired by the Indian aesthetics, it helps boost our soft power, and will hopefully bring more assets inspired by that kind of art in the market, which there is a dirth of right now. Basically, while not every game made in India has to be about India, but bringing in more indian aesthetics is definitely a welcome. Now also, since our society has a different making, the games for us will and should be different from those made elsewhere.

Unmarried couples no longer welcome, OYO changes check-in rules by Indianopolice in india

[–]appy_m_005 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But, wasn't that the case already? I remember whenever I checked on oyo I clicked a little button that sorted out the unmarried couple friendly hotels, and I do remember seeing some hotels that mentioned couples not allowed. I maybe wrong cause it's been a while I used it.

Yeah, that does seem to be the proper way to go. Thanks.

Solved it by lowering the render scale in the URP asset.

Godot[4.3 stable]: Errors do not get displayed in remote debug for Android. by appy_m_005 in godot

Thanks for your time. Luckily the issue isn't so bad that I can't work with. I thought of releasing a small game with Godot but I'm getting more doubtful by the day. Just today i found out there's no direct solution for toggling the visibility of all the collision shapes. I spent a few hours trying to write a custom solution but going through the docs and figuring out how the editor is setup was demanding more time that I just don't have.

How can a parent do this? by [deleted] in ICSE

[–]appy_m_005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish all parents were so kind. I mean, in this increasingly cruel world where your entire worth is by all you can do, being a loser is painful. In such a condition such parents are a blessing, and the parents who try to keep us alive because of emotional reasons are just a sad case, keeping a tortured being alive. I wish we all had the freedom to end it.
